Wales can win 6N if everyone they play gets a red or 2

They'll start a man up against us when we pick Youngs.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:09 pm Wales can win 6N if everyone they play gets a red or 2
I had an argument with a pro player during the week about the POM thing and judging by the commentators just now it does seem like the players and recent players all seem to think "that's how they're told to clean people out" is justification.
"He has to do it or they might steal the ball" is such bizarre justification. We don't justify high tackles because players might get past them.

Warburton: "What else is he supposed to do? What if they're mean to him in the Monday morning review for not preventing the turnover?"
Players and coaches need to start buying into the idea that letting the opposition nick the ball isn't worth hitting each other in the head over.

Doesn’t help when players from 5-10 years ago have the mic on International TV.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:10 pm Warburton: "What else is he supposed to do? What if they're mean to him in the Monday morning review for not preventing the turnover?"

Some of them manage to move with the times, but there are definitely too many who don't and basically go with 'we used to be able to do that'.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:12 pmDoesn’t help when players from 5-10 years ago have the mic on International TV.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:10 pm Warburton: "What else is he supposed to do? For sure. All it will take is 1 pundit to say “ Well that’s bloody stupid from Fagerson!!”sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:14 pmSome of them manage to move with the times, but there are definitely too many who don't and basically go with 'we used to be able to do that'.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:12 pmDoesn’t help when players from 5-10 years ago have the mic on International TV.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:10 pm Warburton: "What else is he supposed to do? The risk matrix of ‘oppo get the ball’ vs ‘oppo play vs 14 men’ hasn’t been properly assessed by most pros yet. I assume they will at some pointJM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:10 pmI had an argument with a pro player during the week about the POM thing and judging by the commentators just now it does seem like the players and recent players all seem to think "that's how they're told to clean people out" is justification.
