I think there are international treaties around piracy, fish rustling and such like. No doubt the EU are signed up to that stuff.

I don't imagine any change to who does the fishing, just a change of ownership and jurisdiction.

My apologies, now you say there are rules I realise everyone will stick to those rules even if they disagree with them and could benefit from violating the rules.

So Canada won't be rolling over CETA trade for UK if we go no-deal and we're "furious"

We're very close to a deal with Turkey however, so we've still got the advantage that disgusting dictators take to Brexit

But doesn't this deal with disgusting dictator replace our existing EU deal with disgusting dictator?

Yes, but this time it's personal.

There will also be a deal for enhanced immigration rights for Turks post-Brexit, which is quite funny given how the Leave campaign used them as an issue.

You may have to wait awhile for a response. The Bimbot is having to fight to defend the Tory scum on two fronts now.

Who is protesting against whom there ? Genuinely not sure or what the backstory is, and not being a fan of any protests or using up police time I’m unsure who if any is in the wrong here.

Anyway. Brits having to splash over GBP700M for the border checks to include IT, hiring, and other infrastructure. Unlikely they will be ready on time or even remotely close to the deadline.

Extremely poor planning from an incompetent bunch of politicians.

That's a fair comment
Although I suspect it'll be easier to find new border staff with mass unemployment.
Theresa didn't make any prep of course, and that didn't help.

BoJO was in favour of it in 2016 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/0 ... u-despite/

Of course he later denied he ever said such a thing.

And naturally Vote Leave used it as a weapon of terror: https://www.joe.co.uk/news/brexit-faceb ... rts-192164

£700m is fuck all to pay for a decent negotiating position. Would have saved the £50b pay off we have to make.

Are you suggesting our Govt is spaffing £700m on a no-deal bluff?

Not having the numbers equates with banned in a Brexiteers mind
Nothing prevented her from making preparations though. It's not as if Boris has needed to ask Parliament's permission is it.

Crap, imagine the shit-storm in 2017 if the headlines had read : "PM May preparing for No Deal Brexit by spending £700m on IT and new staff"

You have to love this in the Torygraph
British businesses will need to submit 215 million more customs forms a year after the Brexit transition period ends, it has emerged.

On Monday the government published its post-Brexit border guidance for the first time, with a 206-page document on how the import and export system will work.

The process will involve 400 million more annual customs forms for British and European businesses in total.

Each form will cost between £15 and £56, HM Revenue & Customs has said. It would therefore cost British businesses as much as £12bn a year to process the additional 215 million customs forms.
So not only tariffs to be paid, but costly complicated forms too. Whose idea was this?
