RIP Jack.

I've got such great memories of Euro 88, Italia 90 & USA 94 watching the Irish lads bringing the upsets and the fun to those tournaments. Back in the day when we played three and in you had to play as a country and I always represented Ireland cos of those teams.

RIP. Never let the fact that his brother was an absolute superstar affect him and just got on with his own very successful career

So long Big Jack.

Thanks for some amazing memories.

A great man.

Changed our entire psyche.

I put the feel good factor he brought Ireland in the late 80s early 90s added to the Celtic Tiger and our country prospering .

He brought us our greatest moments in football and incredible nostalgia we'll never forget. I'll never forget the fever in Ireland about our football team from 1988 to 1995. We were 4th in the world at one stage .

We're all part if Jackie's army was the song.

Thank you big Jack.

At uni, I fingered wor jackies niece or grand niece, whilst watching ace Ventura in the cinema . She wanted more but i declined because A. I had a gf , and B. She was a bit butch ginger lez who ended up with shaved hair and I didn’t really fancy her.

She did not have a long snekky Neck like her famous relative however.

R.I.P big man..... He was an extremely popular man everywhere he went in Ireland.
In bars in the west of Ireland ,where he liked to fish, there are uncashed cheques festooned behind glass frames in multiple establishments as the proprietors preferred the keepsake rather than the 50 quid they were usually made out for....... and he knew it !!!!

I watched that Romania game about 350km away in Switzerland. No one knew where Ireland was when we arrived but that game literally put us on the map.
It was a defining moment socially and politically.

Big Jack will never be forgotten in Ireland.

..I also loved his rage at the scum in 1995.
