I am, not much acceleration, but I remember him throwing an intercept to Russell( a quick player) at Cardiff, turn on his heels and chase him down with 10 m to spare. He has everything you want your FB to have, but has settled with a few caps at 10, because Wales.P in VG wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 10:28 amAssume you’re talking about Patchell? Fair point I think the fact that it was 10x better than Biggar made it seem better that it was. To be fair whenever I’ve seen him for Bristol that side of his game has been pretty decent.
I will say compared to the other nations we do seem to lack a massive boot. Scotland have Hogg, France Bouthier, England Daly (albeit that’s all he seems to be good for), Ireland normally have stockdale don’t they?
We don’t seem to have anyone? Maybe LRZ, that kick from just outside the 22 with about 5 left was great. Possible future fullback with Lane and Adams on the wings?
The Official Rygbi Cymru Thread
Dan Baker signs for the Dragons. No idea how he was going over in France but seems a decent enough signing if he's fit and healthy. Always worry that his early success was so much about good footwork, and wonder if he can ever be that player again after the knee injuries...but till good news I think.
On the Wales front I'm hoping that Pivac now goes for broke against England - no comfort blanket selections of Biggar and Halfpenny - get Neil Jenkins working flat out with the young 10s on their place kicking and selects a backline that can have a real go at England. The point in the first half when we made it into Scotland's half for the first time in a while, won decent line out ball and Biggar pumped the ball high in the air...I'd like to say I was angry, but frankly I just sighed. The high ball should be a point of variation in attack, and it seems to have become first choice. Second half with Sheedy pulling the strings competently to allow guys like Halaholo to play was light years better than what we saw before. To be fair to Pivac he did give Davies and Biggar the hook early...so hopefully he sees it.

I wouldnt want to suggest Pivacs a scarlets serving prick, but of all the players in the squad, the only two who havent played a minute of 6N and haven't been released are from Cardiff, who have a massive game for their, connacht and surprise, turkvilles, european hope.
Guys such a twat

Guess who's back, back again!
Also:Wales back-rower Ross Moriarty is in contention for a Dragons return against Zebre in Italy this weekend.
Moriarty, 26, last played against Zebre on 9 October and has been out of action since suffering an injury to his right ankle on international duty.
Fellow Wales back-rower Ollie Griffiths is still sidelined but Moriarty could return.
"Ross is closer, Ollie is probably a couple of weeks away," said Dragons director of rugby Dean Ryan.
A quartet of young players have committed their futures to Dean Ryan's Dragons.
Lock Ben Carter, centre Aneurin Owen, prop Chris Coleman and fly-half Will Reed are staying at Rodney Parade.

I really want a "Wales Jam Slam 2021" teeshirt and mug.
Always come good before the lions tour.
Enjoy the six nations lads, for next year it all goes to absolute fuckery again.

It’s like when by some statistical fluke we got to number 1 in the rankings in 2019. Probably most of us didn’t take it too seriously but the angst it caused some was delightful.Line6 HXFX wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 5:35 pm Whooo hooo.. on for the Jam Slam.

There’s something deeply romantic about potentially Arkansas-chug-a-bug-ing our way to a clean sweep.
Songs would be written
Is this a yoof culture allusion? I'm confused. Just watched the Eng match again from 24-24 as a reward for staining the fence. It's a back-handed compliment to Pivac but I thought Wales looked Gatlandesque in that spell. And in fairness the scrum with Rhodri and Leon was solid.Plato’sCave wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 6:48 pmI would value a Shithouse Slam higher than 2012.bessantj wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 7:56 pmThe 2021 Shithouse Slam!Line6 HXFX wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 5:35 pm Whooo hooo.. on for the Jam Slam.

Agreed, from 24-24 is was plain sailing.
