117/6 this is getting very interesting,
so much for Crawley's moan about not getting the 50/50 decisions, 2 umpires calls this morning going with England.

125/8 root with 3

I er, don't think that's what he was talking about. More like the quickfire/painstakingly slow third umpire, depending on which team is impacted by it.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:44 am 117/6 this is getting very interesting,

Seamers redundant on this track.
Good job we went in with 3 quicks and an allrounder then.
Joe gets five, India lead by 33
Session 4 and we're about to start the 3rd innings. Either both teams can't bat, or the wicket isn't fit for purpose

145 done. lead of only 33. anyone's game from here, 1 good partnership to win the game?

Not even a partnership. An hour and a bit of Stokes swinging the bat.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:48 am 145 done. lead of only 33. anyone's game from here, 1 good partnership to win the game?
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Jonny BIG BRAINS Bairstow with a ludicrous swipe, 0-2. He really is thick as mince. Genuinely fucking stupid. But he's so stupid he reviews everything, and this time he's actually right. 0-1
Then he's bowled next ball.
Then he's bowled next ball.

Your question is kinda answered by the post you quoted. When it's bouncing that much, LBW is less likely, getting caught close in is much more likely. Can't play it down / get your hands out of the way if you press forward. He's not doing it to every ball or anything, but he'd have been out if he'd played forward that one.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:37 amWhy is Root going back to the spinners. Has he got money on being given out LBW? And Sibley goes caught behind.

Gripping stuff - lead of 100 could be enough...

Genuinely think that England can win this.
Obviously these two at the crease can change the game within 10 overs. Any chase over 100 is going to be tough on this pitch.

Stokes is doing the right thing. One player needs to take the chance of pinch hitting and 5-10 overs of luck could decide the game.

That punch through mid wicket by Stokes (no pun intended) was beautifully timed.

100%. 50s each for these two and we win.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:53 am Stokes is doing the right thing. One player needs to take the chance of pinch hitting and 5-10 overs of luck could decide the game.

India's batting isn't that solid either - so this partnership could be the winning of the game.

That's out for me. Root (stupidly .... because umpire would have heard it) said to Stokes he did not hit it.
