From 2.5KM behind to near 1.5KM lead at the finish with the win.
That has been the lesson in all the races really. Even when LR wins, it is not by huge margins but ETNZ crushes them.Trapper wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:12 am That was a top race. LR can’t shake the kiwi boat but once ETNZ gets in front they are gone!
It’s so true. Even seems to be the case that NZ struggle to pass even when on opposite side of the course, and it takes a sizeable pressure difference. I guess the course is narrow for these boats.Trapper wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:12 am That was a top race. LR can’t shake the kiwi boat but once ETNZ gets in front they are gone!
And once they’re ahead they’re ahead stretching their legs.
So, if ETNZ win this next race it’ll be the last time we see these boats sail right? How many times has that kiwi boat actually raced, a dozen races or so? I mean it’s great to win but it seems like an awful lot of money for that many races and then it gets parked up in a museum. Or will they bring them out for some kind of race series in the future, I hope so, I fecking love them.
Think they getting sold to other teams, I think I read there a series for these boats coming up.Trapper wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:31 am So, if ETNZ win this next race it’ll be the last time we see these boats sail right? That would be my main complaint of the whole gig - Simply not enough racing. They could do well to extend the prada cup, or somehow have the home team involved that doesn't skew results. Just more action all round.Trapper wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:31 am So, if ETNZ win this next race it’ll be the last time we see these boats sail right? I’d say if NZ win these boats will likely be used in the AC World Series, until the new class is defined which hopefully is just a continuation of this class. But that depends on who they pick as CoR straight after the race. Watch it, will happen minutes after on the boat with Dalton. Should it happen today. Rumoured to be Ineos.Trapper wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 4:31 am So, if ETNZ win this next race it’ll be the last time we see these boats sail right? Team Aotearoa ahead 6-3 and on match point. Next race called off because of 'shifty wind'.
It's San Francisco all over again. Watch for Jimmy Spittle to take this out 6-7 on Wednesday...
...that said, it would also be good if Italy won this. They've had a hell of a time in the last year and this would be great for them.

Spittle is going to win 4 races tomorrow? He can have the cup for that achievement!Muttonbird wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 5:20 am Team Aotearoa ahead 6-3 and on match point. Next race called off because of 'shifty wind'.![]()

Wouldn't put it past them. They seem to make up the rules as they go along.Ponga wrote: Tue Mar 16, 2021 5:54 amSpittle is going to win 4 races tomorrow?
