Welcome back. I expect at least a couple of good hospital stories!
Hopefully not the ones he's told us before!!Lemoentjie wrote: Fri Mar 26, 2021 9:20 am Welcome back. I expect at least a couple of good hospital stories!

Great news, plenty of time for you to build back up the strength to take the salute on Remembrance Day.

Great news, just in time to lend a hand in Suez.
Thanks chaps.
In short, I had an "incident" of which I am unaware and has not been tracked down.
I spent 7 days in intensive care at Peterborough Hospital followed by a fortnight on a ward. I was unconscious when picked up by the ambulance and remained so in an induced coma for 3 days before being woken up.
Having spent all that time flat on my back I'm as weak as a kitten.
Home now, sleeping on a hospital bed in the lounge. Managed to stagger a few metres with a walking frame this morning. Got carers coming in 4 times a day.
The Management has been just an utter star. I married well!
Just a slow route to recovery.

I can put up a pic of my tracheostomy hole with sutures in it (the tube has been taken out) but alas not anything of note.
Taking pics has not exactly been at the top of priorities.

Very quick.

How is the voice - yell out (via the Boss) when you can talk
I drink and I forget things.
It's not too bad Ovals. Had the camera down my throat a few times. Not had one the other way yet!Ovals wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 1:33 pm Take it steady old chap - no need to rush it. Good to hear that you're making solid progress.
I'm in for an endoscopy tomorrow - not looking forward to that.![]()
Wishing you well. Let us know how you got on.
Not up to yelling yet! Finding it hard to whistle too.Enzedder wrote: Tue Mar 30, 2021 6:51 amHow is the voice - yell out (via the Boss) when you can talk
I'm told these will take some while.
Just booked in to see an ENT consultant.
