To be fair, if I were fielding under the lid at short leg, I'd rather my slow bowler didn't put down loopy long hops.

Look at Starc the child. Tries to run out Crawley after a ball reared and hit him in the hand. Then chucked in the verbals like a spolied little shit.

Brutal stuff on cricinfo
"I missed the commentary during the lunch break. Did England lose any further wickets." No, William, they've actually had a good 40 minutes there...

Green clatters the stumps - but it doesn't remove the bails

Bat high in the air and the ball miles from the pads but the umpire gave him out lbw. :Bulldog:

England has doubled its total since the fall of the last wicket.

Coasting now.

Stokes and Bairstow bring up an excellent hundred partnership.

Gutsy innings from the injured Stokes.

So does the wicket keeper roundabout now mean Buttler is dropped for Bairstow who will then mysteriously lose form?

Yeah good knock by Bairstow.but this is his once in a blue moon score that keeps his place for a while. Despite a career test average of 33 over 80 tests.

Given the weather about it was entirely sensible. They're still favourites to win the game.

Great knock by Bairstow on the back of his top partnership with Stokes.

Poms not out of this yet.

Still going going to lose, though. 158 runs behind with the tail to be polished off in short order tomorrow, Stokes is fucked, all the Aussies need to do is run up a quick 150 to get a lead of around 300 and then bowl normally.

Eng's best batting effort when Root got a duck. Maybe that's the answer.

Well done Bairstow. Still an angry ginger twat who's not as good as he thinks he is, but can't argue with a hundred against that attack on that pitch in that situation.

Oz 96-4 and they lead by 208. They can't lose but it will be interesting to see if Kawajah and Green can get them into a winning position quickly

Smith has had a pretty quiet series considering how dominant Australia has been.

Khawaja brings up his 50 and Aus are 171/4, with a lead of 293 runs.

More than enough for a declaration already.

The greatest Aussie all-rounder since Keith Miller, allegedly, has just brought up his second test fifty.

You read that right, his SECOND!

Bit spiteful from the Aussies not giving Leach another ball.

Now for survival cricket from England
