Probably, I have Premier Sports/Viaplay as an add on to my Viigin subscription, rather than it being a standalone separate one directly to Viaplay.

Huh. Is that as an add-on to Sky Sports or is it in the general package? I cancelled the Sports sub a couple
of years back because I was sick of funding English lower league sides to outbid SPL sides for players.

Just received am email saying premiere is changing to viaplay and it seems to be included in the sky subscription. I've got the whole package and it didn't specify. It might just be regular sky as they appear to have films and scandi dramas

The channels are there on my Sky box, but they say ‘upgrade your subscription to receive this channel’.

Have Googled and it seems that I’ll have to pay £15/month if I want it, or £12 if I commit for a year. Which is a fair amount when I’m already paying for Sky and a number of streaming services. However, I may consider it - as well as the URC, they seem to have Scotland Nations League and Euro qualifier football, and some Scottish domestic matches.

Yeah, I think she's a few URC games, she also refereed a couple of men's internationals, including Portugal v Italy

Two nights ago I thought "You know what, everyone's been so negative about Scotland's performances so far and NZ looked so good against Wales, that I might have a wee flutter on Scotland for Sunday - there must be some very long odds available."

But no: 3 or 4:1 was all I could find. Clearly the bookies don't factor in the history of the fixture sufficiently!

Now I can see 5 or 6:1. That's almost tempting, in a two horse race. Almost.

Watched an interview with the Racing attack coach (I think), he couldn't speak highly enough of Finn. Really painted the picture of someone who is very diligent and puts in a lot of thought and effort.

Get the feeling with Finn that he likes to be involved, get some input into the plan. Also get the feeling that involving people perhaps isn't Toonie's strength.

True, Finn has been a bit of a typical young Scottish lad and perhaps doesn't/hasn't had the best relationship with alcohol. I can't speak too much on this, neither did I at his age.

I wonder what the big thing is that is getting in the way of these two working together. I'm struggling to see anything that isn't petty.

It is interesting because it is like watching history replay itself. Townsend was the Russell of his day and fell out with the coaching staff, I use that term loosely, and was binned too early. He also liked to play the game with more flair and unstructured at times and sometimes it didn't work. Unless you are in the room with them having the discussion then it is difficult to tell what is going on between the both of them, everything else is conjecture.

That's probably hit the nail on the head. You would have to think that some of the great teams had management that consulted fully with their great players like Dan Carter, Jonny Wilkinson, Sexton etc, it's almost unimaginable that they wouldn't get huge input

Think you've pretty much nailed it, such a bloody shame. Some of the best rugby recently has been from players JFDI. Set the structure (defence, set piece) then during the match let the players do what they do best, by the time they reach International level they shouldn't need micro-managed.

Certainly he mentions today that he has texted GT a bit about the attack. Not sure if that's offering ideas or just seeking to understand it!

I'd love to see Sutherland back at Edinburgh, but we need to keep Venter too, Suzz and Schoeman will be away with Scotland for the World Cup and around the 6N. The others we have listed at loose head are Auterac, Jamie Jack and Harrison Courtney.
Venter is only one in the same class as the two starters, factoring in having two loose heads on SRU rest protocols and the inevitable injuries, we need to keep hold of him, even if Sutherland returns.

Aye, I know it's going to be difficult to keep him, but in order to seriously compete for silverware you have to have that sort of depth across the team. We have it in the back row, we now have it in the back three. Charlie Savala's recent form makes me think we might be building it at fly half. In the centres we are getting there - Matt Currie's distribution is really good. Marshall Sykes is a bad bastard, I really like him at lock, he and Hodgson make a good replacement team for Gilcho and Skinner, Phillips and Young are good too.
Rambo's long-term fitness is a concern, I'd love us to get Ashman up to Edinburgh, though Paddy Harrison is looking good.
