Isn't he alleged to have done it in the US where age of consent is often (though not always, states have different laws) 18?
You would have hoped that after a near 12 year investigation they would have proof of that, but we appear to be still waiting........
Quite, I think having met him through military circles(my bro was on his ship) I am happy to accept that Andrew is a massive bellend However I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of corroborated evidence before we convict him of the second most heinous crime on the planet...
A bit difficult when he refuses to be interviewed by the feds?

Without being completely tasteless, the skin colour of Archie was never in doubt. Megan looks white ffs, and Harry is white. I'd like to think that the royal family know about mixing colours.
This might have been a little exaggerated.

Oh I agree. I think a lot of it was.
Even if it was genuinely asked, I think context is important. It could have been asked out of total ignorance, in which case painting an entire family as nasty evil racists is a bit harsh, in my opinion.

What?
There are existing legal mechanisms for US law enforcement to travel over here and interview him if they had reasonable grounds.
The only reason would be that they have no grounds to treat him as a suspect, then they would rely on his cooperation.

I’m not sure how lying to your wife and making up a story that behind her back your own family made racist remarks about her is supporting her.

I’m speaking hypothetically.
Either the accusation is false, is true, or it was a misunderstanding.
Considering the alleged racism came from a close family member I think it unlikely to be a misunderstanding since Harry would know the person well.

I am of the school that if it smells like bullshit, it is likely to be bullshit.
2 people who claim that they want to be out of the spotlight to protect themselves and and their family from the 'toxic' situation created by the press in the UK go on air baring all, making massively unsubstantiated accusations of racism, throw in the suicide word on one of the biggest TV shows in the world, knowing this will get global ratings and headlines worldwide? do me a favour, this is a cheap grubby exercise in money making. They will make many many millions off this and subsequent appearances, potential book deals etc.
Lets not forget there is an unsubstantiated claim of bullying being levelled at MM by Palace staff that is allegedly being investigted by Palace authorities. There is just so much smoke and mirrors here on both sides that none of it is believable really, personally i wish them well, but also happy for them to fuck off out of the front pages as they hold no interest for me, and i also feel the same about the royal family.
There was only a little bit of attention whoring going on.

She said it was when she was pregnant and relationships were tense, Harry says it was right at the beginning on their relationship when all was rosy.
I can quite easily see Harry, William (who was also his best mate) and a couple of friends sitting around having a few beers talking about his new girlfriend and joking about a brown baby with ginger hair. Harry relates this to Meghan who finds it funny.
Things go tits up and then suddenly it's remember when he said that racist thing about our babies.

Happy to be proved wrong but I don’t think that is the case, the Feds want to interview him in the States and given what seems to pass for justice over there I don’t blame him. There is a protocol for these sorts of things I am sure our resident Plod could confirm? If Feds come to London to interview him and he refuses, different matter entirely. I do not expect PA to be above the law BUT if all he has done is have consensual sex with a 17 year(he denies any sex at all) I am not interested in hanging him out to dry for that. Creepy Bellend but not a criminal(if that is what happened)
The girl in question has piped up about M&H’s interview so I am inclined to think there may be an element of attention seeking to it!

I'm sure it's tough coming into the royal family, and being a focal point of the British gutter press.
Personally don't feel like they tried very long, but they wanted out and be financially independent - fair dues and best of luck.
Not sure how Meghan didn't receive mental health support, with William, Kate and Harry all leading the way on that front - and the GP is generally the port of call on health issues.
But this latest episode is just a PR exercise, and under the veneer there's a lot of childish rhetoric.
Sounds like Meghan had this great image of being a princess, loved and adored and a role in which she could make a big difference in the world. Not sure if Harry has the skills/knowledge to provide the context: from her comments about being unaware about curtsying and other examples, it sounds like she didn't prepare well, and wasn't prepared well.
There was a lot of good feeling towards the couple when they married. You'd think as adults in their 30s they'd be aware that the press would be both friend and nasty foe, and that the modern society is full of trolls.
But they seem very sensitive to any criticism, to the point where they publicly undermine their own family. Racism has no place in this world, but why would Harry not just challenge his family on it and sort it out? If you want to change something, you do it from the inside, not 2 years later in an interview with Oprah.
Lots of other thin/unfair comments in all of that to pick up on, but I'm actually kind of sick of the whole thing.
They wanted out, they got out. They've got their multi-million dollar mansion, their Netflix deals and their Hollywood friends supporting them. So get on and live your lives, and manage your family relations (or lack of them) in private.

I think the last bit is a bit nasty and dramatized. I think she definitely struggles with criticism, and wanted the perks of the environment but not conform to the environment itself.
I'm sure she genuinely wants to do good things in the world, but you have to earn people's trust and engagement. As a royal, that means dedication to the job, putting time and effort in. Which is why the likes of Kate and Camilla are still there and generally well-respected now, even if not loved by all.

Kate came from solid upper middle class stock(father company director, mother an air hostess, educated at Marlborough) she is no blue blood.
Fair enough, but still the opposite end of the spectrum than Megan.
Interesting that I always hear people describe Kate as classy. Even I do it, totally subconsciously.
Assfly I don’t even think that is true, Meghan had a pretty privileged upbringing too. Trips to Europe, privately educated, father had a well paid technical job in a film studio. I am not aware of how that translates to class in US but I imagine broadly similar??
My understanding is that the impetus behind Kate was mostly her mother who was actually originally of working class stock - from a mining family in county Durham. Her mother was incredibly ambitious and pulled herself out of the working class by marrying up, then started her own business in the late 80s which is where the family made its fortune. Her mother knew the ins and outs of the British class system and knew what it took to move up the ranks so to speak. When Kate was in a relationship with William (they met at St Andrews in the early 00s) it was like an extraordinarily long vetting process but Kate's parents fully supported her and helped her jump through all the hoops along the way. By the time they married William and "the Firm" could be entirely satisfied that he had someone who was going to be a good partner for him AND a good fit for Royal life.
Meghan endured no such trial and was essentially fast tracked into the royal family. She is a very attractive woman, wealthy and famous in her own right and I'm sure has many good qualities but she was not schooled in the ways of the British class system, the Royal family and such. Whilst she is I am sure a good match for Harry she just wasn't cut out for being in the Royal family itself.

Is that the Queen and her mother? I'd be interested to know the context of that photo.
I think it was about 10 years before the war when Hitler was making his name and it was all a bit of fun.
Could be Uncle Eddie asking for a fun photo to send his pal Adi?
