Twice; & the Russians got that, honour first too !

Rumour had it; that the design was so Russian, when it came to the aircraft interior; that passengers would have ended up with severe hearing damage at the end of flights.
Interesting video from the West. It does seem to be a totally different plane though, debunking the bullshit that it was a Concorde ripoff. Bigger, higher passenger capacity (different interior design), more powerful engines (Russian's own), specific design to give the heavier aircraft more lift, lots of changes and improvements in general before release for commercial flights. Notably, first crash in testing phase seems to be caused by pilot/crew error. All in all another fine world first achievement by the Ruskies.
It was eventually acknowledged by Tupolev that much of the basic research regarding the delta wing, the drooping nose, etc came from KGB espionage. What they couldn't copy were the control systems - so rather brazenly they actually attempted to purchase them from the UK manufacturer, and were denied after government intervention (theoretically the same systems could have been retro-engineered for military aircraft). There's speculation that the lack of these control systems played a major part in the crash
There's also the great story about the tyres.

When the French discovered the Russians were stealing technology; they got Michelin?, to create a fake tyre chemistry, so they could let the Russians, 'find' it.

The Russians dutifully stole the recipe, & French laughed their asses off.

The Russians and the Chinese are renowned for stealing technology. Look at China's Y-20 transport aircraft, remarkably similar to Boeing's C-17. Or their J-31 fighter which is practically indistinguishable from the F-35.
Us in the west are sleepwalking into the future. In Russia's eyes anything that weakens the west strengthens them.

It's something you have to be very careful about doing.

The stuxnet fucked up Irans enrichment program; because the Israelis knew exactly what these centrifuges looked like on a network, & so were able to target them precisely; & ignore all the other devices on that network, so they didn't trip any alarms.

The US did something similar in the Cold War, & they injected issues into Oil technology that they knew the Soviets were trying to steal; again this resulted in a massive industrial accident

[Edit] Found the original article I read about the, "Farewell Dossier"

I liked the quote:
In order to disrupt the Soviet gas supply, its hard-currency earnings from the West and the internal Russian economy, the pipeline software that was to run the pumps, turbines and valves was programmed to go haywire, after a decent interval, to reset pump speeds and valve settings to produce pressures far beyond those acceptable to the pipeline joints and welds.

The result was the most monumental nonnuclear explosion and fire ever seen from space. At the White House, we received warning from our infrared satellites of some bizarre event in the middle of Soviet nowhere. NORAD feared a missile liftoff from a place where no rockets were known to be based. Or perhaps it was a detonation of a small nuclear device. The Air Force chief of intelligence rated it at 3 kilotons, but he was puzzled by the silence of the Vela satellites. They had detected no electromagnetic pulse, characteristic of nuclear detonations. Before these conflicting indicators could turn into an international crisis, Gus Weiss came down the hall to tell his fellow NSC staffers not to worry. It took him another 20 years to tell me why.
Digital had a sense of humour about it too

Russia is not claiming that they've created a perfect vaccine. The experts have created a vaccine that when they run as a cost/benefit analysis, is very beneficial. They acknowledge there can be strong side effects.

They can't know what the cost/benefit is, because without large scale long term trials, they can't know the costs or the benefits...

They're claiming theirs is better than anyone else's in the world. That may not be perfect, but it's a hefty claim all the same.

By virtue of releasing it, it is the best in the world right now. When did oxford claim theirs was perfect?

Some Russians online aren't too sure it's from the Government. Firstly, there are many other parties that don't like Navalny (corrupt oligarchs) and it's uncertain how much freedom they have to commit their crimes without needing them being sanctioned by Putin. Secondly, Putin isn't an idiot, and he knows that the world's eyes are watching very closely, due to Belarus. Killing your political rival will make the West more protective of Belarus. My personal opinion is that it probably was Putin, but the poison Navalny was given (apparently) won't kill him. It is just a reminder to Putin's enemies that he can hurt them wherever and whenever he wants.

Being unsubtle is exactly the point for the Russians. It keeps 1,000’s more down and scared (sadly rightly so).

How would you know yours is best in world if others haven’t released to public yet? And you hadn’t extensively had access to and tested the “others”

That makes it more likely, if anything, IMO. Putin has nothing but contempt for the West and is extremely brazen about how he has major political oppenents killed off. It sends a message to others who might oppose him.

Like I said, he's nothing more than a gangster who happens to have seized control of a country which has a particular affinity for vicious authoritarians.

Argentina has received its first shipment of the Sputnik vaccine:
Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez has expressed his gratitude to Russia after a plane from Moscow delivered the first batch of the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus to Buenos Aires earlier on Thursday.

“Argentina now has a vaccine against Covid-19,” Fernandez wrote on Twitter, thanking the developers of Sputnik V and Russian leader Vladimir Putin “for the attitude they have shown toward our country.”

“A path of hope has opened” after the arrival of the Russian vaccine to the country, he said. However, the president pointed out that the pandemic hasn't yet ended and the public must continue to follow all the precautions advised by medics.

Does Reuters count as MSM?

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-healt ... KKBN2920XT

Mind you, unlike RT, Reuters don't slavishly follow the Russian Government's propaganda

Russia’s first big international shipment of its coronavirus vaccine -- 300,000 doses sent to Argentina last week -- consisted only of the first dose of the two-shot vaccine, which is easier to make than the second dose, sources told Reuters.... a source close to the manufacturing process, and another in the government, said the shipment was made up only of surplus doses of the first component, which had been produced in greater quantities than the second.
