Yeah, suggesting it's a pass that hit the shoulder is utter nonsense, it never left his hand.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:16 pm Surely that's lost forward by Lowe? It's not a pass. Lowe has lost it forwards and it's caught by JGP. If he had released it first I could understand the call, but...
Not Heineken Cup 23/24

Regardless of liking or disliking Leinster, it is paramount that we continue to point out how Karl Dickson is one of the worst refs around
be that as it may, he is not being bad evenly
I've got no skin in the game, but that is just nonsense, barely had one hand touching the ball.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:55 pm Lmao not even on the ball

Word. There are 3rd rate Saffer refs in the Currie Cup B division who would do a better job. Less biased towards the home side as well.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:55 pm Lmao not even on the ball

Yeah, but bad refs often decide the narrative like that. Some are homers, some just give the team on top everything, some are Alan Lewis, etc

I'm just used to seeing Leinster being refereed this way in Dublin, going way back.
They are the darling team of the IRFU so not surprising.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:00 pm

Leinster is going to walk this competition.
Using the ref excuse is just blind.

Extremely funny to call that a knock on - Porter just loses it backwards in contact, it's not ripped. An example of a baffling decision that made no difference. Leinster have been pretty ruthless, and LaR have not really had any answers.
The physical difference between the two sides hasn't been quite as pronounced today.

They are and part of being good is being good at playing the ref and pushing the boundaries.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:03 pm Don't get me wrong, btw, they are a terrific side, but they do get a lot of decisions that they shouldn't
Literally no one is saying the ref is why Leinster are winning, they are by far the better team.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:03 pm Leinster is going to walk this competition.

I don't think anyone is saying the ref has decided the game. Leinster are superb but they get some ridiculous decisions by lightweight refs like Dickson.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:03 pm Leinster is going to walk this competition.

I agree, but as fans we only want some semblance of consistency in what is left and what is penalised.

I was going to ask that but was embarrassed there might be a law I didn't know. Nonsense call.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:04 pm Extremely funny to call that a knock on - Porter just loses it backwards in contact, it's not ripped. Indeed it has been comical at times today.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:06 pmI agree, but as fans we only want some semblance of consistency in what is left and what is penalised.
A couple of years ago I called La Rochelle just Exeter with more power, and I think that's still kinda true - when the power doesn't give them a match winning advantage, they actually look quite clueless.
Funnily enough Exeter are far more imaginative these days...
So, smart money on an epic Leinster/Toulouse final?

I tried to post this before the last try but it didn't work
My prediction is that Leinster will get another ten points or so before a good few decisions go against them and it will end up looking like it was a close game by the scoreboard.
Leinster didn't need the help, but.....
Well they don't once they've run out to a good lead, which is what happens so often.
I noted dickheadson is totally addicted to that narrative. La rochelle aren't bothering to oblige.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:12 pm I tried to post this before the last try but it didn't work

Yep. Ultimately a disappointing game but that is down to La Rochelle being a bit rubbish on the day against top tier opposition. Dunno if the talk about all the travel is fair but they certainly looked off the pace.
Leinster will be favourites now they got that monkey off their back in such style.
