You're in the finals, this is a time to enjoy your rugby, not fret about how far behind on the list of CC Champions you are.

I saw a stat somewhere today that the Sharks have the best transformation record this year, and the Bulls amongst the worst.
Strange the JW and the team seem more interested in luring older white players back to Pretoria than investing in developing young black players from the local environs.

I don't doubt it.
My cousin's stepson's best mate was the brother of B.J. Botha who was getting a reputation as very good scrummager as prop. As they went down to scrum against the Bulls, Victor Matfield punched him and broke his jaw, putting him out for a few weeks and effectively ending his Springbok career.
I think he ended up playing for Munster.

Fez Mbatha - Maritzburg College
Sanele Nohamba - DHS
Jaden Hendrickse - Glenwood
We're also saving players careers by rescuing them from corrupt bankrupt unions like EP and WP. Not even joking, Western Province is not far off Kings level of corruption and maladministration.
Maybe if UKZN had someone like Jurie Roux, they could illegally fund their rugby program to the tune of R38mill. Thats a lot of scholarships.

Yes.
Also not a prop, so he won't be bound in and unable to avoid it if he gets punched from the second row.
But he'd better watch out if he finds himself at the bottom of a ruck or a maul.

Haven't come across many supporters yet that are glad the Sharks have an increasingly representative team of pop.
Those interested enough in discussing just go through another avenue, ie 'they aren't all local", to try and justify their "views" and make the demo out as negative and simply representative of quotas or government interference. They rarely care about the local production lines when it comes to white players, and if they do, are willing to just joke about it rather than spew vitriol.
Not that I am levelling that at anyone here
I for one am glad. Our best players, in my opinion, are black. I'm glad they are good and have had chances at the Sharks. Call me if whatever.

Western Province has 3 Natal schooled players of colour in their Currie Cup squad as well as plenty of Boland, Border and Eastern Cape kids. Paarl Gym, Boys, Pail Roos and Maties are not actually part of the Western Province sporting area. Should be Boland.

Ok look, the saarks chatter on here is mostly : WP is kak, WP is bankkrot, WP this, WP that.
Time for some proper rugby talk.
Key match ups :
Gqoboka vs Du Toit : Advantage Bulls if the game is loose, but finals rarely are, scrumming more important, so advantage saarks.
Van Staden vs Richardson : Advantage Bulls by a long, LONG way. To me, the clincher.
Vermeulen vs Notshe : Advantage Bulls. Notshe is a bigger asset when the game is loose, possibly of the bench as well. Vermeulen is a beast and will lift for the final.
Steyn vs Bosch : Even. Steyn is the old hand and used to pressure games, Bosch longer with kicks out of hand and to touch. If I had to choose, it would be Steyn.
White vs Everitt : Advantage Bulls. Jake's been there, done it, got the t-shirt and sold it to Everitt. White has won the RWC, Everitt has resorted to dodgy tactics to avoid WP to get to the final.

Bitterness over your defeat is very unbecoming.
However, I suspect that the fact that it was at the hands of a province which is seen as historically weak which causes a lot of the rancour.
I'm not a big fan of the kicking game, as I thought I'd made clear.

Vok yes I love the kicking game when it's used as a tactic against a team that only practices scrumming and hitting tackle bags at training sessions.
I said before that game. Get on par in the scrums and WP have nothing else. There's a weekly Currie Cup roundup with Dalton....as a WP supporter I don't suggest you watch it. It really is tough believing you are so amazing and it just keeps on getting worse. Dalton and the crew nailed WP....got them dead to terms....
Now don't go watch it now.
So much talk of Jake White...Everett has done a fantastic job. Kept the Sharks culture alive. Got the team playing Sharks rugby and Rassie's Springbok rugby. And he is in thr finals. Full marks to him.

Mampimpi has been scintillating for the Shsrks during the CC. He must be their top try scorer. Mvovo has been a joy to watch. I can't wait to see them both score tries at will after latching onto passes Bosch.
