A small aluminium sphere with a diameter of 12 millimetres and weighing only 1.7 grams impacts an 18-centimetre thick aluminium block. The sphere was shot at a speed of 24,500 km/h

This would equate to a 2300 meter diameter meteorite, given that the earth's crust is about 35km in thickness... an epic hole.

We had a major typhoon hit us last week, with some serious flooding and several roads collapsed and needing major repair. Then the evening of the day after the typhoon finally passed, this was nature's gift to us. You could hear thunder in the dark clouds in the foreground but the rest was a stunning display of nature's beauty.
