Roebuck MOTM? Really? One excellent finish and a run in, Willis or Ford for me.
Either of them or Jamie George

I'd have given it to Ford.

A very decent win and performance in the second half.

That's a really good win in the circumstances tbf. Defence was good throughout (yeah Argies were wasteful first half, but still held them out) and second half ran in some nice tries off the back of quick ball.
Agreed Willis really good, thought most of the pack were tbh. And that Ford isn't on the Lions tour, even if only as the midweek Fly Half, is ludicrous.

Fantastic win. Thought we would get battered and that happened instead. Superb

I was at a gig last night, checked the half time score during a break between sets and though 'at least I'm not missing anything' and was a little gobsmacked to then see the final score afterwards.
Will have to try and track down a replay.

Come on, Murley is obviously on the left.

Agreed - he should be there instead of Farrell and M Smith!

Yep! Quite the second half.
Maybe Joe El-Abd i8s beginning to get a grip with the defence.
Lee Blackett making a difference deputising as attack coach. The ball speed at the breakdown and running lines were excellent.
The starting backrow were outstanding. Why on earth Tom Willis hasn't featured more in the recent past is just plain daft.

But Farrell's mentality and leadership. Was at summer fair yesterday talking about the lions and Finn Smith was getting a kicking in favour of Farrell and Marcus Smith. Ford wasn't even worth a mention to the casual fan.

Dunno how long it will stay up, but in case anyone else missed last night's game here it is in full.
Worth noting that this was basically just a recording of the stream someone was watching, so there are a few moments where it buffers and one audio glitch that caught me out thinking it was my PC when actually it was the video.

Rewatching now as only half caught a lot of the game in the pavilion whilst explaining that there was actually a lot of subtlety and thought put into the low full toss I took a wicket off.
As you say the defensive system seems to be gelling nicely and what’s apparent, and has always been an underrated element of England under Borthwick, was the team’s level of desire to fight for every inch. Missing people so obviously limited but I quite like the way we’re setting up and for all that Borthwick can come across as an absence of personality, he clearly has guys willing to go to the wall for him, same as he had skippering at Sarries. Clearly has a bit about him that doesn’t come across in public.
