Do you think Eddie Jones watches games like this and thinks - "yep, Ben Youngs is the best scrumhalf in England. Confirmed."
There’s something depressing that in five years time there’ll be two internationals with 150+ caps, one who is a scrum half who can’t pass and the other has got at least 70 of those caps for crying during the anthems.

Youngs is exhibit A for Eddie's statement about not paying attention to club form.

Think this would be a very harsh card. Looks like a genuine attempt to me

Barnes made the right decision not to card him, but if it’s not a card then shirley it’s a knock on?

Good comeback from Leicester - just a 1 point game now. Fantastic run from Genge to set up that try.

Regards Youngs, he pays very little regard to test form either.

Hell of a kick from Ford that.
Bath left to rue not taking the outs afforded them by the pens they kicked to touch with time up.

From a Youngs pass to the piece of turf 6ft to the left and behind Ford.

I think they made the right decisions, a lineout 30m from the oppo’s line shouldn’t be high risk to the attacking team in professional rugby.

I think giving the first one a go was reasonable, the second one should have been played safe by ending the half.

There was a line Matt Scott ran that was exactly what he did at Edinburgh, off the back of a lineout he takes the ball flat from the scrum half, running inside the opposing fly half, he always made heaps of ground with it, sometimes we scored off the next phase.
Scott had to jump and take the ball at full stretch way above his left shoulder from Youngs’ pass, it killed the move stone dead

How can Genge not be penalised there? Barnes is telling him no, he carries on anyway and successfully takes out Spencer before retreating.
So much bullshit around the ruck is just let go despite there being a material impact on speed of ball and it's infuriating.

Bath imploding, so many dumbfuck penalties, just handing Leicester the game. Barnes also seems to have green tinted glasses on.

Don't know if anyone watched Rugby Tonight after the game, but Diamond appeared and offered an explanation (at least in part) as to his departure from Sale. Mother recently died almost exactly a year on from his brother and his sister is terminal. I'm not his biggest fan by any means, but that's a lot to deal with in fairly short period of time and you wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Glaws - Sale game yields citings for du Preez and Slater.
Wonder how the weekend review has gone for the TMO that assured Dickson the du Preez hit was fine...

That piece of turf is still more mobile than Dan Cole.

Tigers v Saints match in doubt on Saturday. I really can't see how PRL are going to manage the fall out from this if more and more matches are going to cancelled due to Covid
Uncertainty hovers over the Northampton Gallagher Premiership clash with Leicester on Saturday after Saints returned a “limited number” of positive tests for coronavirus.
The latest round of testing undertaken on Monday uncovered the cases and the club are now going through contact tracing protocols as they look to avoid a second-successive match cancellation after an outbreak at London Irish resulted in last weekend’s trip to Brentford being called off.

Yep, saw that earlier.
Realistically, the only fair way of doing this is getting the BT cameras in to every game and giving the old Gladiator thumbs up or down as the match day squads are read out one by one. Four points to the team with the fewest positives. Staff can be the tie breaker. Relegation decided by some kind of death match at the end of the season
As far as I'm aware, LI's training base is still closed by PHE, so I'd be surprised if the Quins game goes ahead at the weekend either.

Farrrk... that is awful for Steve Diamond. Poor guy, I've always kind of liked him and his attitude and I've never heard a player say a word against him... I know he's been a shit to journalists but, well... journalists!

Steward looks like he could be good for some caps... he's 6'5 and has looked pretty assured playing with the [other] big boys so far... no-one else has really nailed down the white 15 jersey...

They both look very promising. Wouldn't be surprised if both get a look in for the wider England training squad
