I would agree with that.

I don't agree that Racing have a powder puff pack at all. They might be losing out in the battle of the lard arses in the slow attritional rugby of the Top 14 but are well suited to playing English teams who don't have the lard arses either.
Exeter or Leicester would brutalise them.
Not convinced they would. Leicester didn't brutalise Bordeaux and only did well when they kept the tempo higher and moved Bordeaux around, arguably Leicester struggled once they retreated into more limited/attritional rugby.

Bordeaux has a very good pack! They annihilated Racing a week ago in Paris. And Leicester did have the edge over Bordeaux in the tight: albeit the early yellow assisted that.

Veaniu has been o/s for Paris this season and surprised to see him risked in this game.

Wasps revised team after the last round of testing.

Image

OUT (yet more seasoned Prem players):
Jacob Umaga, Sebastian De Chaves, Tom Willis, Elliott Stooke, Francois Hougaard

IN (recent academy grads with basically no appearances and loaner):
Luke Mehson, Michael Van Vuuren, Kieran Curran, Tommy Mathews, Cameron Anderson

Tim Cardall is now the only second row in the whole squad.

We're totally going to lose this.
It's a wonder how some have caught it and others haven't?

Also, that's some injury list!

Unavailable through injury (17): Charlie Atkinson, Ali Crossdale, Tom Cruse, Malakai Fekitoa, Vaea Fifita, James Gaskell, Ben Harris, Joe Launchbury, Rob Miller, Ryan Mills, Ben Morris, Paolo Odogwu, Dan Robson, Will Simonds, Sam Spink, Theo Vukasinovic, Jack Willis.

Plus Alex McHenry simply 'unavailable'. As he's currently on loan with us from Munster I don't know if there are some EPCR regs that mean he can't play against his parent club or perhaps we didn't register him for Europe thinking that by now we'd have some options that wouldn't require moving Bassett to 13.

That's a typical Sportsground moment :lolno: :lolno: :lolno:

Sanchez kicks from his on 10m, misses touch; & the return kick is a 50-22, inside the Stade 22

Sale have consistently dreadful discipline, penalties have done a lot to give Ospreys a lifeline in this game.

36 - 9 FT in Galway

SF made as many mistakes as it's possible to make in 80+ minutes. They had more than enough power, & possession to make a game of it; but somehow never really were.

Protheroe looks very dangerous, but he goes down quite easy...

Were never interested from the moment the team sheet was announced. Unclear to me how Quesada still has a job. Highest budget in T14 and fighting relegation.

That certainly doesn't help (goodness knows how they would've fared with Jono Ross on the field today), but its been part of their club DNA since before the influx. It's just gotten even worse with their addition.

I don't know about pumped, but I'd say it's a 90% chance we lose.

Which one is more likely to be a good contest wasps vs munster or La Rochelle vs glasgow?

Afraid I couldn't possibly say. I don't know enough about the teams in the latter fixture.

Looks like West is carrying on with being a beast in the scrum, despite not having a proper lock behind him.

Same old story for LaR. Until they get a decent pair of 1/2 backs, everything else will be for naught.

Christ, just turned on the Wasps game. Who on earth is the Wasps scrumhalf, is he a competition winner?

He and Porter are scrapping to establish 3rd choice at the moment, but in the absence of Hougaard and Robson it's a bit moot.

Is he? I thought he was clearly 4th choice, with Porter and Hougaard fighting over the other two behind robson.

He's been selected ahead of Porter the last couple of games.
