Have Scotland extended their poaching to the the England u18 and u16s sides now?
Only two English born developed players in the team. Looking at the results at senior level, having fewer English developed players is probably why Scotland is improving.

I watched the whole game, we have a dynamic pack with decent halfbacks who passed it nicely between themselves but we did not use the width of the pitch did Nicholson receive 1 pass in open play.
Out of curiosity did you not use the width of the pitch, or simply not move the ball wide?

As in don't think a pass went outside 13 to fullback/winger. Not really a criticism as we have a great pack with average outside backs.

And 4's dad was a lock for France too.
I never made the connection with Carbonneau and Auradou. God I feel old.
LOL. I did point all that out earlier: Carbonneau, Auradou & Fall in the squad. Also both 1/2 backs were from Brive and the last time that happened at any level was Carbonneau Sr and Lamaison I think.

Who gives a shit? I'm surprised he hasn't managed to pen something which simultaneously contrives to defend Jeremy Clarkson, support Meghan Markle and appeal for the rehabilitation of Jimmy Saville's reputation.

If were the Times Finance Director I'd he telling the Editorial Lead to just task AI to deliver contrarian rugby-related pieces in the style of a clickbait obsessed contrarian gobshite, and save a handy few quid on retainer and expenses.

Kenya and Zimbabwe play each other on Sunday in the Rugby Africa U20s Barthes Trophy, after beating Namibia and Tunisia (respectively) yesterday here in Nairobi.

Both also qualify for the World Rugby U20 Trophy in July, also in Nairobi, which will also feature Scotland, Uraguay, Spain and Samoa. I assume this comp is for the teams that didn't qualify for the World Rugby U20 Championship happening in South Africa at the same time.

Yeah last played pre-Covid, when Japan were promoted from the trophy comp and Scotland relegated from the cup comp.

Zim comfortable winners against Kenya in the final, 28-7.
Namibia sneaked past Tunisia in the 3rd place playoff.
