Irish have really turned it on in the 2nd half - fantastic stuff and we're all square.

Jeez, we've a bunch of really exciting young 15s in the Prem. Freeman, Steward, Hodge and Parton.

Also, Hassell Collins is consistently impressive every time I see Irish. Would be interested to see him get a shot with England.

Some game - and, in the end, Irish blew a golden chance to win it.

WTF happened to Bristol in that 2nd half - seemed to completely forget how to play - so many errors and looked knackered.

Big oof, but sharing the spoils is probable reasonable for a game that was very much of two halves.

Can't help but notice that Bristol, shellacking a woeful Bath aside, generally perform worse with Ioann 'latest running welsh fly half wunderkind' Lloyd at 10.

What's the story with Josh Bayliss? Good player? He's just been named in the Scotland squad.

That's all he's going to be doing. Shame really, he had a few brain farts yesterday but was also at the heart of most of our good stuff, and has been looking like finding his pre-injury form over the last month.

Decent enough I guess. Ex-England U20, taken a while to break into the main Bath lineup. Not really seen anything from him to suggest he's international class.

That minor detail hasn't stopped Ben Youngs getting over 100 caps.

If that is the case, then it's fair game, but it'll take BT Sports to line up all the camera work and timestamp it accurately to say for 100% certain.

I think the main reason it's contentious is because it's so rarely seen

EDIT - Ben Kay has tweeted footage show Simmonds taking a half step forwards.

Of further interest is that by the time Simmonds had even got close to moving, he was already well outside the 60 seconds for the kick to take place
Isn't it 90 seconds these days, or is that just for penalties?

90 seconds for a conversion

Bedlow cited for that tip tackle yesterday.

Citing officer not quite as charitable on his/her interpretation of the incident as Dickson and Tempest

Would be preferable he did that playing for his club rather than for England and Jones pick a player on form. But hey-ho, his club don't have fixtures and Jones is far too stubborn

Eh. He was similarly open and self critical after the RWC, yet didn't put in any notable performances until the last couple of autumn games in 2020. I won't be holding my breath to see an improvement.

Eddie's dropped LCD to the bench (George starts) and George "Who?" Martin makes the squad. Wilson back at 6. Sinckler starts. Billy, Youngs, Farrell et al continue.

I am fucking livid about LCD.

I'm sure Martin is a cracking prospect. Good chance he'll have a successful test career, but he's probably a bit fortunate to be getting a go this early.

Sam Simmonds has more tries this season than Martin has Premiership appearances for Tigers

Very harsh on LCD, more than earned the opportunity to keep starting.

6-2 split again which will never sit easily with me.

Also, Martin covers lock and 6 right? So why the need for that split? If we can find space to take a look at a rugby foetus, surely we can do the same for Odogwu or Lawrence.

It does end up leaving you feeling like that. But I doubt losing to Wales, Ireland and France, will change things - historically our coaches have just become even more conservative when we are losing - and Eddie is even more stubborn than his predecessors.

It's very depressing. How on earth is Daly still getting picked at FB ? It just defies all logic.

Because he can kick; and he's probably part of the We Love Eddie group within the squad. The two most important factors in selection.

Youngs has 'earned' over £2,000,000 just in England match fees alone and most of that will have been thanks to Eddie Jones.

I reckon he must be giving half of it to Jones in kick-backs.

Come off it - what's the point of claiming to be an England supporter if you're happy for us to lose to Wales

My claim to being an England supporter was fixed at birth. If a few losses stops England playing this ghastly shite then I'm all for it. I'm a utilitarian at heart.

The kicking part is usually predicated on him catching the ball first !

There's how many, actual EQ FB's playing better than him, week in, week out ?, & he's still getting picked.

Daly is down the pecking order to get dropped. Youngs sits proud at the top of that pile, been there since he got his 20th cap.
