The early punch to the mouth of the PR bored was the "in your face" advertising which, even if ad-blocked, fucked up the screen.

I don't mind unblocking a few unobtrusive ads if it helps keep the hamster alive, but that was taking the piss.

ASMO You have done a lot of work for this bored and I hope it becomes the preferred rugby bored, the one thing that would give it a boost is some live rugby to get us all going but let's hope that will be sooner rather than later.

I still use Facebook. It has its place and it’s uses... I followed PR there for a while. I think I'm here for the duration too. The obnoxious sidebar ads on PR were just the final straw.

I know some finance is needed to keep the hamsters in straw, but it shouldn't make the forum unusable !

How about adding sub-forums for other minority sports like Cricket, Hockey, GAA etc, to maybe add the appeal ?

Also, Jake now says he was misunderstood - it was all about getting a better platform, for the whole site, and dragging the forums along behind.

PR is pretty unusual in so far as we get huge desktop traffic but little mobile. People's media consumption has changed due to smartphones.

Xenforo started 10 yrs ago, but 3.0 is cutting edge stuff and allows phone posting easily and much more streaming content stability.
