When did he throw a tantrum? After he left the field? I saw him get hit - given out - chatted to Root who was pretty sure it was plumb and then Stokes walked off disappointed but still acknowledged the crowds applause.
Sorry Boet, should rather said he was unhappy. My English is at times shite. Got bliksemed trying to speak it as a kid.
I thought there was some juicy story after he left the field....I am disappoint.
No , I posted it just after it happened.

The ODIs is important for the Proteas who need to qualify for the WC. We won't tour Australia.

I was a bit annoyed they declared, thinking there was no chance of a result on a road of a pitch that had seen almost 1400 runs scored in the first two innings with 5 wickets remaining.

They should have given him the chance to gun for Lara's record, I thought. Leicestershire imploded in two sessions and Glamorgan nabbed the win.

Hardly surprising given some of the review's findings:

The review highlighted 448 examples that demonstrated institutional racism.

62% of respondents to an anonymous survey said they had experienced, seen or had reported to them incidents of racism, inequalities or discrimination.

A total of 68 concerns raised during the review in Scotland were referred for further inquiry, some to Police Scotland. They related to 31 allegations of racism against 15 different people, two clubs and one regional association.

From what I’ve heard racism is a part of why we didn’t take advantage of our position in 2005. Winners of the associate one day and four day trophies in the same year, clearly better than the rest and with good publicity. I was told that there were multiple businessmen in the West of Scotland whose were first or second generation south Asian immigrants keen to chuck money at Scottish cricket but the blazers didn’t think they were their type of people so didn’t take advantage. One deal to show willing but there could have been enough money to fully professionalise the national team and spend money on various other things in youth development. Could have been on a similar trajectory to Ireland.

Imagine a northern hemisphere summer, with seven home tests for England and three or four each for Scotland and Ireland each year. Proper festival of cricket.

As fashionable as it is to pretend that there is no cricket played in Scotland, when you look at actual player numbers and some of the facilities (particularly round Edinburgh) the strength of the Scottish side becomes a damning indictment of how the game is run up there. This is before you look at how limited the exile network is - I'd guarantee that there are plenty of Hamish Watson equivalents around first class and minor county cricket.

One of the difficulties around exiles is that there's no player release requirement for internationals in the same way there is for rugby. For example, Brad Wheal is on contract with Hampshire, who this week have put him out on loan to Warwickshire rather than release him so he can play in the three Scotland v New Zealand games on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
