Lozowski looked very good indeed. Saracens are going to get some very good players back from loan when they return to the Premiership.

Sanderson has got Sale defending like Saracens. Mostly offside.

Took the words out of my mouth, tbf you do it as long as you don’t get pinged for it.

Brizzle with a nice score now though

That’s a poor scrum call in favour of Sinkler

I know i dislike him but Uren is fucking terrible, you have a Rolls Royce backline being served by a Reliant Robin 9. The service is so slow that by the time it hits the 10, the entire Sale backline and back row are all over them

Not the first time breakdown warfare and an aggressive defence have done for Bristol and it won't be the last.

I'd take Uren over Ben Youngs in a heartbeat.

Uren had a decent game, he tried to keep Sale honest and wasn't afraid to snipe into a monster defence and actually made some ground. There's several players in that Bristol side who didn't cope with the physicality at all and he wasn't one of them.

Think the top three teams are miles ahead of the rest in physical terms. Not sure how healthy it is as that shit looks unsustainable to me (and career reducing!) but it's remarkable to watch.

Uren's nowhere near as bad as ASMO regularly. Don't think he's anywhere near international standard, though.Fantasising about anyone replacing Youngs would seem to be an exercise in frustration, think Ben would have to run over Eddie's dog to get dropped.

Mail Online reported Thursday that Youngs and Ford will be rested for the July internationalsa and that Jones will select a "young" squad

It's alright, I have faith you're not lying to us

Mixed feelings on that. Like most of us I'm happy to see the back of Youngs, but I feel bad for Ford. He rarely gets a chance to operate without being stuck between Youngs and Farrell.

Taking a young squad is one thing, but you do need some senior heads there to help out and guide the younglings. The 2017 Argentina tour where Ford, Launchbury, Brown and a couple of others were there alongside a bunch of kids/international newbies really worked quite well. A fly half with nearly 80 caps woud be an ideal person to have around, even if it's just as a mentor for the younger guys.

It gives Eddie a chance to look a number of young players .... for 10 minutes ... and then say they aren't up to it; & start the Autumn Internationals with the same olde faces.

Quite like the cut of Tyrone Green's jib, think he will make a good replacement for Captain Angry. Northmore too impressing me, lots of good yoof coming through for Quins

I really don't care if defence coaches/DoRs are unhappy with these sorts of games (I recall neither DoR was happy after the Wasps bath humdinger in January), this is the kind of rugby most people want to see. Open and flowing, a reminder that it's origins are as an evasion game rather than a collision one.

Quins scrum has really bailed Smith out. Every kicker has a yips day once in a while, he's unfortunate it's come in a significant game.

On another note, Henry Thomas must nearly be done as a pro player. He's had rotten luck with injuries, but lately I've only seen him be a penalty magnet at the set piece which is kind of problematic for a prop...

Think it'll do Quins the world of good to have struggled a bit during that second half and overcome it to close the game out relatively comfortably.

Feikitoa injured and Le Bourgeois in is a bit of a downgrade. Glad to see Willis jr. back in the starting line up.

2 penalties in the opening minute give Saints the field position for a lineout drive that we defned woefully and Saints take an early lead. Bodes well...
