It's 11 hours from Heathrow to OR Tambo and less than 500 pounds non-stop, round trip. It will cost you half that for accommodation and entertainment. To briefly go back to points about money, Mexico or India are places that are cheap once you get there, but, again, they're really fucking far away and it's just not a worthwhile use of time to go there for a weekend.

For a weekend trip, the closer the destination the better.

It's one game. Put in a few days leave and make a week of it, you'll have a blast. If you cant/don't want to/cant afford it/are Scottish just stay home and watch it on the telly.
