No? I think Billy is a cunt on the field because he acts like a cunt on the field. Plenty of Saracens players don't, but this celebrating in players faces is something that Saracens turned into an art form, with Itoje, Earl, Tompkins, George all players who do it at every opportunity.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 5:18 pmIt’s not whataboutery in any way, both sides did it all day. But here's the thing: you might find it tiresome that Saracens get booed. I'm afraid that's tough shit: the people in charge made Saracens unpopular when they started doing cuntish things off the pitch, then players started acting the cunt on the field, all while huge amounts of financial doping meant they stole several titles and turned the league into a financial arms race. And never apologised or came clean. Asking why they get booed is like asking why people don't like Boris Johnson, you have to be willfully blind or ignorant to not understand it.
As a Saracens fan you bear no responsibility for what your team did any more than Quins fans did for Bloodgate, but Quins and their fans got it in the neck for years after that.
It's a Saracens fan whining about their team being booed, you muppet. A massive whinge would be like the multi day meltdown you had on here after Saracens lost to tigers.Kawazaki wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 5:36 pmJM2K6 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 5:28 pmNo? They were probably boiing because they'd just lost to team that had been publicly humiliated for its financial cheating and which is probably still benefiting from said cheating. It's not nice for Saracens supporters but their club is a stain on the league.
Oh and jm is right about players gloating, Sarries make themselves even more unlikeable doing it and there's absolutely no need
Prembore wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 7:42 pm That's pretty risible. The quality of the rugby is actually irrelevant, it will find its level - the league lives or dies by how competitive it is and one team winning because they've cheated a mechanism specifically created to ensure that competitiveness makes a mockery of the competition, even if (and I suspect it's arse gravy anyway) they do improve everyone's standards. And yes, I accept Sarries have some great structures in place, which makes it all the grubbier that they still felt they had to game the system.
I get that you will defend and excuse the conduct of the team you support with the same vigour with which you pursue punishment for Rassie Erasmus' disgraceful behaviour during the Lions tour, but I'm afraid you'll just have to live with premiership fans dislike of Sarries for the foreseeable. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it
Nah - I can assure you that majority of Bristol fans I know think they are a shower of pricks as wellKawazaki wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 8:01 pmPrembore wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 7:42 pm That's pretty risible. It's only really Harlequins that has any enmity. And they don't like Saracens because they can't bribe their players to leave Bramley Road and play for Quins instead anymore.

Ironic given that's how many fans now view Bristol since they got the richest owner. Certain people hate success. They'll post-rationalise and come up with just about any excuse to explain away why the winner wins instead of their team.
p.s not very nice thoughts after the Saracens academy provided two of your best players last season.

Agree with comment re Mailins and Earl great players.
What’s Landsdown’s wealth got to do with it? Providing they have remained within salary cap its irrelevant? As opposed to systemic cheating over many years and refusal to properly disclose all info to investigation etc etc - and the fucking whooping and hollering…
JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 11:20 pm The idea that Quins fans a) are the only ones that hate the cheats and b) only do so because of some nonsense from over a quarter of a century ago is right up there with the "caricatures of native Americans are good because otherwise their culture would be forgotten" reasoning from one of the most bizarre people to have posted on either rugby forum, even if you only narrow down to the people who've been repeatedly banned from either forum. Just so, so strange.

Fair play to Saracens. Quins allowing them to score so quickly in the second half allowed them to get their tails up. Ben Earls made a big difference when he came on.
The Koch shove was pretty shitty, we struggled after Tommy Allan went off.
I saw the Koch incident but not sure how it caused a head injury. Did his head hit the ground when he fell?assfly wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 8:55 am Well this thread got spicy

Whiplash. You don't need head contact to get a brain injury if someone smashes you in the back.SaintK wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 9:19 amI saw the Koch incident but not sure how it caused a head injury. Thought it was a good game between what I'd argue are the two best teams in the country.assfly wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 8:55 am Well this thread got spicy

My apologies, I did misread that. However, he still didn't go off after making a tackle. He went off several minutes after any physical contact whatsoever. You just threw the "after making a tackle" thing out there because you don't really give a shit about whether it's true or not, you just want to do your usual misinformation and misdirection schtick.
