Yes, I know pigs might fly and unicorns shi#t gold buttons.
Could make a pretty decent video nasty from Farrell's career though, maybe someone should. Frustrating thing is he's a very good player, he doesn't need to do that kind of stuff.

This was the worst one he did IMO

Both nasty, but Hogg's was not nearly as bad as Farrell, it was a glancing blow, plus it was Dan Biggar who is a whiny cunt, Farrell was a full on smash.

A glancing blow
It's supposed to be amusing whataboutery purely to mock the idea of Farrell being taken to court over a swinging arm tackle, but let's not pretend that Hogg didn't full on twat him in the jaw there

TBF I wouldn't be that surprised to see a particularly bad incident (a Calum Clarke or some such) result in a civil or even criminal case.
That is of course separate to the complete blinder dkm is playing here though

Ben Kay did just make the point that Lavanini's ban for the headshot red card on Farrell in the world cup was... 4 matches. For a repeat offender with a checkered history. Entry point was lower, as you'd expect comparing the two.
If people want to join me in demanding longer bans for headshots, welcome aboard the bandwagon :)

Not saying the Hogg incident wasn't complete C#ntery but he at least has learned and I don't think he's done it since.

We really shouldn't allow the English to play for the Lions. They are a complete liability.
They are either losing their minds and getting redcarded, grabbing peoples dicks or just so fucking petulant and wound up, you will all be burning your lions jersey and supporting the opposition long before the ref starts the match.
I know people talk about the Lions ethos, and it is all wank, but fucking'ell, a bunch of crazed English nationalists, who would make the worst soccer thugs look a great laugh and a right night out, is not what we want to subject our kids to.
I would rather lose the series 3-0 than have Gatland have to surround himself with these English idiots.

Good luck persuading Gatland with that
I'd like it as well. Give the lads a nice long rest.
What are the current odds on the Lions tour even taking place

Liam Williams is a good example of the rare back with multiple red cards and bans.
That's Lions star Liam Williams, of course.

Not sure he’s quite as bad a cheap shot merchant as he used to be though.

I think greening was avoiding trips to France for a while.
I believe I the end wasps paid some of the loss of income bill.
Rougerie had a larynx fracture which is not a nice injury.

Oh dear, poor old Gougerie. My heart, and no doubt my eye, bleeds.
y...yes? that's been the standard for some time: a single offence a long time ago has rarely stopped players from getting a big reduction.
It's stupid but the problem here is refs and citing commissions bottling it time and again up til now, giving him this 'clean' record.
This!

Have reductions for good records etc increased in the last couple of years? Looking up SBW’s Lions suspension after seeing the photo above the judicial write ups are very similar - both reckless, not intentional and prior good record etc noted.
SBW’s was deemed a mid-point offence and he received a six week suspension knocked down by a third to four weeks. Farrell’s was deemed high point and his ten week suspension was halved to five.

50% is the max reduction, and it's done in weeks (games basically, back when it was one a week). A guilty plea gets you a long way to 50% off, a reasonably good record is often enough to take it the rest of the way.
