Le Jamais Contente, literally “The Never Satisfied”—an electric vehicle and the world’s first road vehicle to go over 100 kilometers per hour. The feat was accomplished by the fearless Belgian driver Camille Jenatzy. The date: April 29, 1899.

Rather than thin masts and billowing sheets of white, the Buckau had two huge cylinders that rose from its deck and spun. By a physical phenomenon called the Magnus Effect, the spinning poles generated a propulsive force that carried the ship forward.

The true test of her parenting will be if that lot starts to fall off, what will she save first, the beer or the baby?

Tough decision. Is it a boy or a girl? does she have other kids? Was the beer on sale?

Might be a fake too, each case contains 24 glass bottles (around 30lbs) so about 300lbs + the baby  .... It’s a good meme.

Knew they played in BC on their way back home. This is captioned: “ Group portrait showing L. Paewai, Chris Lawson (coach) and George Nepia”

Found this from 1913

And this from 1936 looking for anything from 1925.

Saw a video on that fairly recently, by a historian/re-enactment/specialist type. They reckon is was probably just a show piece, rather than actually useful.

It's Sandy FFS. He was such a balanced poster (in favour of the Stormers) but has lost it ever since finding out that one Saffa bordie paid for a Covid vaccine.

Unfortunately the Graun changed the pic, despite the article about not being able to find the vulva they had a pic of ovaries instead.
