On another note:

1) this is just amazing, the French do club rugby like no one else
2) can you think of a better job than a British commentator on the Top 14

The Top 14 has great atmospheres at the games, even when the rugby on show isn't that entertaining.

I actually don't like this commentator, he spends a lot of time taking the piss and laughing. Johnnie Beattie is good, though.

Oh yeah, I agree, and Johnnie constantly trying to bring him back, but still, what a job.

Soz, I missed your meaning as I was concentrating on the game, yeah, it is a dream job, really.

During the normal season it often sounds like he's doing the coms watching the telly from a room in Swindon or something, you don't get the crowd noise in the mic at all.

It is amazing. You can do the same again next season with a broadcaster who does not broadcast every game

I think they played as well as they needed to. Had to give up my ticket for the final next week which is a pity because will be interesting to see what they think the can come up with against LaR's power because it didn't work against Leinster.

It will be an annihilation.

I have just been through the replay of the first semi final.

Some worrying signs for Toulouse despite the final margin. Their scrum, although dominant, has shown a few signs of weakness against arguably the weakest scrum of the Top 14. Their lineout has been misfiring. A lot of loose ball as well and even Dupont made some uncharacteristic mistakes. Thankfully for them, Racing were worse ball in hand and gave away silly penalties at key moments.

But against La Rochelle, Toulouse need to go up 2 notches if they want to win.

Leyds almost scored a try for the ages, but had a foot just in touch

... a couple of minutes later La Rochelle take the agricultural route over the line with a huge driving maul

Not pretty but bloody efficient. LR are a team of bulldozers.

Bordeaux have the extra man and they indulge in a kicking game that is just running down the clock.

I fear his career is following the path of the likes of Baby, Jeanjean, Beauxis etc i.e. blighted by injuries.

Trouble is Ntamack was very poor for Toulouse too. Your man Hastoy is the from player.
