If comes down to this.

Lose and we are gone.

Italy still peeved about the match abandoned last time which sent them packing.

They will be a very fired up Azzurri !!

I'm very nervous about this game. Something tells me Foster's got one more nasty surprise in store for us before he exits.

Ethan de Groot's banned for the next 2 games - Tamaiti Williams, come on down!

Sounds like Lomax might be ready, which is great news coz I've seen all I ever want to see of Nepo stuffing things up. Ofa may still have a few good games left in him, but would much prefer him on the bench rather than starting.

Has banana skin written all over it. Just get a win without cards or injuries please. The rest is academic.

A 1-point win would be fine for me.

It's like we're closing in on David Koresh at Waco... will this all end peacefully or is there one more nasty surprise waiting for us?

This is how he has made us feel!

Are the two useless assistant coaches going with him? I thought they were the masterminds behind the ABs

It is a bit much, isn’t it?

I get it, Italy has improved and NZ is (relatively) mediocre by their standards but…come on….

ABs at a canter.

You do know Fozzie is coaching the ABs right? I'm still worried by the next two pool matches, there's still some records Foz hasn't managed to accumulate.

The All Blacks might squeak past Italy, but the QFs is the end of the road.

Don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive (at the end of the line)
I'm just glad to be here, happy to be alive (at the end of the line)
And it don't matter if you're by my side (at the end of the line)
I'm satisfied

Assuming Fiji don't somehow implode :shifty:

The ABs should win this one, but you know Fozzie and his ability to snatch defeat etc.

Highly likely that Aus and NZ, with 5 RWC titles between them, will both be gone before the QFs.

Oh, the ignominy!

Think of the learnings we'll be able to take away from that, though.

It'll be reverse mockers - the ABs will win the World Cup, Fozzie knighted, then offered the Australia job.

My understanding is that like the AB one it’s about as good as they could put out. Should be all on.

Yes he's put out his best team, although (in my head at least) it makes more sense to have Tommy at 10 and Garbisi 12 but hey ho.

I think it's also the strongest bench that Italy have ever been able to put out

Really don't have any arguments against that team selection, besides BB at fullback rather than Jordan.

A less than 20 pts. deafeat would be a success: the best score in 15 years and the best Italy can achieve.
With a red card to Scott Barrett after 20 minutes and keeping the game as tight as possible it would be likely.
