Feels like we haven’t had a Vintage Six Nations since I reckon 2020, so hopefully that will change

I don't hold out much hope that Borthwick has it in him to win a 6N whoever he selects.

We haven't beaten you at Twickenham since 2017. I have zero faith that Borthwick's going to be the man to turn that around, especially as he's currently prattling in the press about considering Smith at 15 and Steward on the wing. That's the sort of rugby IQ you expect from a concussed gerbil.

Italy being genuinely able to compete will make this a very unpredictable tournament. Shame about Wales

Well, yeah, if he made that selection I'd be a little more confident!

If your chances are thrown out the window due to one injury, then you never really had a chance - there's always injuries before and during the campaign.

Cummings as well.

Anyway, that’s easier to say when you have a full league of pro teams

Pffft we don't need injuries to scupper our chances - we'll do it all with poor selections and tactics

ITV have signed up Eddie Jones as pundit for the 6N

B-B is not likely to be the entire 6N and much as it is a loss it can be covered.
You know I don't do Jelonch and so that really doesn't bother me at all. Galthie's hard on for him over the infinitely better Cros was a significant contributor to that SA loss.

I would expect Fra to win all their games with the exception of Ireland which is the one, definitely not given. Trying to get to Paris for the Sco game if you are around.

So long as whoever the token Scot they have in the studio is, they take a good long shot at him about how many times we beat him at Twickenham.

I don't have tickets, let me know closer to the game.

I expect a loss in Ireland and a cock up with England or Scotland.

Wales playing with the roof closed, no issues with that, as long as they don't do all the pyrotechnics beforehand, since the smoke ruins the camera view for a good while.

An advantage to England kicking off at 4.45 for most matches is that I can bolt down dinner at half time so I can safely ignore the parade of drivelling idiots honouring us with their incisive analysis.

It was your (unions) choice to ditch the number of teams you had, does seem more a live with it than complain about it situation. Or at least have a plan to add x number of teams back into the system

Notable lack of tries against teams that matter.

We're not counting the one he has against Ireland or the four against France then? Okay. Another two against Argentina, and one against Australia, together with the six vs England (yes, we all like to laugh at England, but their ranking is pretty close to Scotland). Granted no tries against SA or NZ (don't think he's ever played against them?). But not bad against the top 8 ranked nations, would you agree?

Maybe check some facts next time.

My feeling too. Only variable I can see is if Italy are able to reproduce and/or better their performances from last year, when they beat Wales and Scotland and were denied victory against France by a questionable refereeing decision.

I'll always be optimistic about England, but everything quoted is very realistic, we're getting closer and closer to Italy's first victory over England, could easily be this time.
