Just watched on RTP2 (Portuguese equivalent of BBC) all three series back to back of Smother.
Greatly enjoyed it. My wife described it as more a soap opera on speed than a thriller but after the first couple of episodes we found it addictive.

Re: Beginning of the end for the Commonwealth Games
We went to Birmingham and it was fantastic. SO well organised and the people from all over we met, a real family of countries event. The standard of the athletes was also top notch. As for costs, etc, I have no doubt they are substantial. Anybody got a "balance sheet" of what it meant for...

Re: England Rugby player arrested with partner for rape.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10391429/England-international-rugby-star-arrested-suspicion-rape.html Some rugby fans have taken the information and deduced who they think it might be. Jake said on PR it's someone else. Jake`s second sentence on PR doesn`t quite read right to ...

On the Sinckler citing, is there any clear photo or video evidence of the alleged biting? Without such evidence it will be difficult to find him guilty on circumstantial evidence if he denies the offence.

Re: Weight Training Thread
Haven't seen a weight training thread, thought I'd begin one as they are a very useful combination for those also interested in the weight loss thread. Any regular tin throwers on the board? I was very keen on it in my teenage and 20s years then got all grown up and fat, then kids, got fatter and n...

Re: So, coronavirus...
My wife spends a lot of time in Angola on business and has just received today in Luanda her first AZ vaccine. She is 57 but as life expectancy is only around 60 there are no great age bands in place. Over 60 is the first band and she was invited to join that group on arrival at the vaccination cen...

Any news on the "win, win" talks? The press reports appeared positve before the weekend but the longer they go on the more likely they will end up as "lose, lose"

Re: So, coronavirus...
I`ve been watching the Portuguese news this evening and got really annoyed to see both Sic noticias and TVI reporting the La Stampa story as gospel, stating all the doses were destined for the UK and using emotive terms such as hidden (as if under the floorboards). The presenter on Sic even got visi...

Re: So, coronavirus...
Just reading about the EU´s proposed 6 week export "cut". Interested to know, if implemented, where this would leave the UK, especially in relation to pfizer. What are the UK`s current requirements for second jabs compared to current pfizer stock levels? Anyone know?

Re: So, coronavirus...
Politico reporting that the Italian authorities have discovered 29 million doses of the AZ vaccine at a site in Italy. The doses are believed to have come from the Halix plant in the Netherlands.
That`s a huge quantity! If true, not sure what the implications are.
