Re: Gaming thread

Both have just been nerfed. I don't really play Warzone though I don't think it's terrible. I'd just rather play Apex Legends if I'm going to play Battle Royale, and I'm still not convinced Battle Royale is actually, y'know, good.

Re: When is a sport not actually a sport?

So just like real sports then. Real sports have some testing regimes and are regulated beyond that. e-sports are essentially making it up as they go. Presumably, in e-sports you only need test for the 1 drug. Or do they test more for baking powder etc? ADHD meds, speed, etc - anything that can be a...

E-Sports....Drug use is pretty rife and the scenes are almost entirely unregulated and at the mercy of big money corporations

I don't know how much ability you have to change things like this but I note this forum does at least have a bookmark feature. However I can't seem to find anywhere outside of the user control panel where those bookmarked threads are displayed. If that's the case, could we get a link to the bookmar...

Pretty much every doctor I follow on Twitter thinks that "Professor" Sikora is a dangerous crank. I must say there's little evidence to the contrary. He's a contrarian who thinks the NHS is "the last bastion of communism", loathes the WHO and the UN, and is an oncology advisor t...

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Since 2018 Holder has averaged 14 with the ball and 42 with the bat. Adds a little bit to Braithwaite suggesting he's underrated and should be considered as potentially the best all rounder in the world. Bit of a small sample size, heavily skewed by that 202* against England (bizarre match that, ha...

You'd go well at F365 rugby, why don't you head on over? Oh yeah, why's that? Because you just dismissed this place and called the posters here fuckwits. Doesn't sound like its the place for you. You've edited my post strangely but I should be clear that I consider the people giving me abuse before...

Re: When is a sport not actually a sport?

I love competitive e-sports. Very easy to get hooked if you enjoy those kind of games already (I love strategy games like Starcraft 2). It’s fascinating to see the combination of skill and strategy at the top. I realise this makes me an epic geek but I don’t really care. There was a good thread on ...

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Easing him in where is seems like an okay choice for now, but he's definitely going to be moving up sooner or later. Dan Lawrence - someone I talked about on the previous board - didn't do enough to displace Denly but might be slotted in at a later date. Until he had to focus on T20 he was a proper ...

I've popped over to see what's happening on PR a couple of times and I have to say I've left very quickly. After a week or so on here I just noticed how many fucking idiots there are over there. Much prefer it here. Hey, I've had fuckwits giving me shit on here before I'd even posted, so I think it...

A lot of entertainment & media has switched to subscription services since 2005, though, and I think that's the problem here. Everyone's a rent seeker now.
