Thanks Ox, interesting read and gives a lot more info that you will get from the news.
I think I will have to look at increasing my firearms amount.

Pick'nPay update:
Friday 16 July 15:00.
185 Pick'nPay trucks left in a 3.4 km convoy from JHB today to take emergency food supplies down to PMB and DBN. Staff have worked through the entire Thursday night packing these additional trucks that were routed for elsewhere in the country.
Saturday update:
Trucks arrived 23:00 last night and we opened store 06:00. It normally takes 3 days to pack a hyper. With help from the community, we did it in 7 hours.
When the 185 trucks left JHB at 15:00 we sent our drone up and all the drivers came to work dressed in the colours of the SA flag and stood in a circle together praying for each another and their safety on the road tonight. First time ever. Was quite moving.

I cannot believe the incompetence of the security , military and police . An attempted coup is taking place and noone is prepared and it takes a week to mobilize the troops. If the army had gone in hard, there would be hundreds of dead people. I get that Cyril can't have another Marikina.
Cut the head off the snake. They say they have persons of interest. Arrest them.
Apparently we are all imagining things and there was no coup attempt.
Nothing to see, apparently, there was no attempt to get Zuma released and KZN and Gauteng merely experienced a little slightly over- boisterous, harmless fun.
Seriously, if they let the tea party conspirators off scot-free, then there will be repercussions.
Ramaphosa is being undermined, and, if he doesn't take charge, he's going to end up being recalled and replaced with either Ace or NDZ.

The piece of shit, Zuma, is now saying that an online trial infringes on his human rights to appear in court. And thus he cannot have an free and fair trial.
And after that
Prosecutor Billy Downer must be removed from the trial as he is biased against Zuma.
Sauce, as our legal expert what are your thoughts?

For s9meone who was looking forward to his day in court, the noisome cunt and his legal team are trying every trick in the book to get him not to appear.
Zuma was due to be transferred from Estcourt to 'Maritzburg today, and the Farmer's groups in our area have been warned to expect trouble.Chilli wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:34 am The piece of shit, Zuma, is now saying that an online trial infringes on his human rights to appear in court. It would make more sense to do the process on Zoom, though.
[Edit] Sorry, you were asking Saucy.
It was an attempt to destabilise the country, with a view to overthrowing the elected Government and removing the leader. Sounds like a coup attempt to me.assfly wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:21 am It wasn't a coup attempt. What we have seen this last week is definitely not what a coup look like.

Our current Zuma and lock down situation start to put stress on all Saffer families. Its difficult when you lost someone close to you with Covid or you have to stress about getting basic stuff like food.
We need to stay calm and take it day by day, Life will never be the same but we need to fight this with all we got. Be strong for our families.

(Discounting, for the moment, the possibility of Sards' communists under the bed)
It's certainly not going to get Zuma out of jail. The only way of doing that is by installing someone like Ace or NDZ in place of Ramaphosa. Otherwise, there's a huge probability that they all go down. After all, if they can arrest Zuma, who is safe?
There is a very real struggle for supremacy in the ANC, and it's implausible that the events last week were not part of it.
People are angry. KZN has a large, young population with a very bleak future. It was never going to take much to spark anger in this demographic, and it won't be the last time I'm sure.Rinkals wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 9:01 am What other reason would there be?

I agree about the battle within the ANC, but for the time being that battle is within the confines of Luthuli House and other state buildings. I haven't seen anything to indicate that Zuma has the loyalty of the police and army, and that they would be willing to take to the streets.

Agree with Rinkhals here. I believe the KZN mafia and its allies around the country are hurting from having the easy corruption money tap turned off to some extent. They've maintained power through bribery and access to tenders etc. They know that they have influence as long as they can pay off those that directly control their base. ie trade union chiefs, local indunas and warlords.Rinkals wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 9:01 amWhat other reason would there be?assfly wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 8:06 amDestabalise, yes. So while there was plenty fuel on the ground with Covid related suffering and dissatisfaction with service delivery and so forth, the ignition came from bad actors whose intention was to remove Ramaphosa and other obstacles to their control of the economy. It may well have backfired for them. The rest of the country is so horrified that they'll see Ramaphosa as a stable leader and support him. I have been a DA voter since inception but would seriously consider voting ANC if Ramaphosa held power going into the next election.
Should be lots of juicy tenders coming out soon to rebuild burnt-out warehouses and shopping malls.FalseBayFC wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 10:17 am

I'm truly worried about SA. When we went to Constantia we stayed with a lady who was an active member of the Black Sash. We got to see the townships with her.
