Also, I wanted to boast about just scoring myself a ticket to see the War on Drugs next year

About 50k a day and somehow did not get a break through COVID case.
On Sunday night, the wife and I are off to see the Beach Boys....last time I saw them was at the Hong Kong 7s in 2013![]()
This might be the saddest thing you've ever written and it's not like the competition for that dubious accolade isn't fierce.Line6 HXFX wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 5:38 pm Get a guitar, learn the B major scale all over the neck, put on a backing track...in the scale of B major...(it is kinda important it is B major) play G sharp minor (or all the relative minor scales will do it, , f sharp mixolydian etc) and improvise the living fuck out of it, on the guitar.
Never have to go to a gig again.
You are the gig.

I've seen footage and reviews from a lot of recent US festivals. While it's clearly lovely for everyone to have live music back, large gatherings of people like that give me the heebies at the moment even double jabbed. It's going to be an adjustment
1500 capacity is about my limit for a decent show. The smaller the better generally. Went to a 200 cap spot a couple of months ago and it was an absolute blast. Nothing can beat when those rooms are full and people know the band enough to want to dance and sing along (or shout along as tends to be the case with much of what I listen to).GogLais wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 8:49 am Never been a big gig goer, for better or worse I prefer smaller venues and if the performers aren’t big names then so be it. It always amazes me how much low-profile talent there is out there. I did have a phase in the early 90s when in a few years I saw Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Judy Collins and Crosby Stills and Nash. Judy Collins at the Pacific Road Theatre Birkenhead. God knows how she ended up there.
Yes and yes!
Yes!EnergiseR2 wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:57 pm Going to see Beck in a few weeks. Haven't been at a concert outside like a young fella in years. Loads of concert hall trad or classical stuff but not this. Presume I will get a blow job on the way home?
"Mark Lanegan - A Celebration" will take place at the Roundhouse this December, marking what would have been the iconic artist's 60th birthday. Presented by the Mark Lanegan Foundation and Kilimanjaro Live, the event will feature a star-studded lineup including Josh Homme, Dave Gahan, Chrissie Hynde, Bobby Gillespie, Greg Dulli, Alison Mosshart, and Soulsavers as the house band.
