The Official English Rugby Thread
Add the fact that Tom West, Francois Hougaard and Nizaam Carr whilst not injured now, were left off due to recent injury/quarantine.
Quite pleased with our squad depth to be honest. But it would be nice not to need it quite so much...

The Shed are certainly in good voice tonight.

Hmm.. That's Quins-esque non tackling by Gloucester.

Glaws are more than capable of scoring, but they're very fragile without the ball.

I really want Glasws to pull off the draw here, preferably with a slightly controversial try. Healy's meltdown would be delicious.

Tough one for Glaws there, thought they should have had a pen at the previous ruck for aTigers player on the wrong side of the tackle standing straight up and blocking incoming clearers.
Nic Dolly's Anglo-Aussia accent is weird.

For their sake I hope so.
33-0 second half as well.

Ali Crossdale's making his mark early. Scored both of Wasps tries.
Read an interesting interview during the week where he said he chose Wasps due to the style of rugby we played when we drubbed Sarries just after firing Dai.

A thanks to the Sarries academy might have been more respectful.

ASMO will be pissing blood over Uren being pick pocketed by Robson for that last try.

I don't think he was disrespectful, just came across as having been over-awed by our brilliance

The comment was aimed at you, not Crossdale.

Ah, I forgot how weird you get about this stuff.
Fine, from now on I'll insist that every time Billy Vunipola, Elliott Daly or Alex Lozowski do something useful that your sing the praises of Wasps academy.

Ah you see you've got yourself confused, clearly anything they do well shows just how well Saracens are doing at improving them after leaving Wasps...sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 3:26 pm Ah, I forgot how weird you get about this stuff.

Wasps have a fine academy that deserves the highest praise. I've nothing but respect for it. Wasps are my second team.
Saracens and Wasps historically are very similar clubs.
Actually their maul was generally doing really well, occasionally Wasps got the better of it, but normally not. Scrum was doing well too in general. There just didn't seem to be the fluidity in attack you'd expect. Defences may be getting wiser to their tricks.

Nah, they lost their Sarries academy players.

Sale looking much less dangerous without McGinty pulling the strings. He's absolutely vital for them.

Irish have scrapped back into this contest well.
It's a weird game. I agree McGinty was a big loss, but Sale just seem to have fallen asleep a bit after a good first half, which is dangerous because Irish are a dangerous side.

A game of two halves as the cliche goes.
So nearly snuck it at the death, but Irish will probably be fairly happy with the three league points given how this started.
Jono Ross is a yellow card machine and he really cost Sale.

Prem quality has been a mile above that in T14 so far. Early yet but on this showing, Fre clubs will struggle in the early rds in Europe.
