Was that the best session of play by Canterbury in the match?

Otago's wins it 22-20.

Where was Canterbury in that second half? They look a bit lost this year.

Is it him, or the coaching?

In the time it takes me to travel to work, Cant lose from a 17 point lead. Would never have happened in the old days.

A combination of the two but he is the man on the field who has the responsibility to correct the ship. I hardly ever see him talking to the players.

They do have a lot of injuries but still, they have been poor. Rightly humiliated by Hawkes.

Yep, even their three early wins were by 3 points or less, and the ref gifted them one of those.

Taranaki had a large lead but the Turbos are staging a pretty impressive comeback with two quick tries. 32 - 28 with 16 minutes to go

Turbos get one at the end. Must say the rugby is great to watch.

How close was JGB to having the ball knocked out of this hand there? Bit careless of him

The highlight of the holiday weekend just about to kick off. Hawke's Bay defending the Shield against Waikato. Should be a cracker.

Hawkes are a joy to watch. Even the big men look for space and try to keep the ball alive.

Not good decision making there by Magpies. Shoulda taken the pen into the corner given how their maul is going.

Apparently it was a friendly, not a league match. I switched early in the 2h to watch Japan v Australia

Magpies saved their best for the last 15 minutes, when they were untouchable.

Phew. My dad will be pleased. He’s not got long left, hoping the Bay keep it until then.

These conditions favour Cant who'd prefer a tight arm wrestle than a game of rugby.

{EDIT} F**k off Marshall. I said it first.

I think Canterbury are making more "big" mistakes though so maybe not.

4 penalties now and Tasman up 12 to 7
