Not wagging enough!! 219 all out, 107 behind
No chance of an England win (or even draw) from here
As it usually is; the first hour tomorrow is going to be critical. And 1 guest wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:19 pm Great work by slimline Sibley for the runout. Still reckon Pakistan are favourites but England still in with a shout.
This is excellent cricket to watch, always best when the pitch slightly favours the bowlers.
England have done well to get themselves vaguely in contention here. But they still need to overperform from here to winfishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:34 pmAs it usually is; the first hour tomorrow is going to be critical. And 1 guest wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 5:19 pm Great work by slimline Sibley for the runout. The cricket guru has spoken.
Mentally, I had a figure of 275 for the lead that Pakistan would want; & now I think we're in for a humdinger.Saint wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:56 pmEngland have done well to get themselves vaguely in contention here. Realistically, the odds are that Pakistan are already home free. On this pitch, with 2 leggies, it's doubtful that anything over 250 is achievable. It's possible still, but we're already in unlikely territoryfishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 10:39 pmMentally, I had a figure of 275 for the lead that Pakistan would want; & now I think we're in for a humdinger.Saint wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:56 pmEngland have done well to get themselves vaguely in contention here. England need to build some batting partnerships; & Pakistan need to sort out the fielding, & catching.
Too early to tell in these no-saliva covid days.Big D wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:44 pm Right I am going to whisper this because it feels disrespectful but is Jimmy A a problem for Root and England? Wicketless in 9 of his last 20 innings, one wicket or less in 13 or 14 of them.
Woakes and Archer are probably better versions of themselves with the new ball and are being left to 1st and 2nd change. I also don't think England use Archer well but that is another matter.
So, is Jimmy the odd one out when Stokes is fit to bowl?
Stunning catch by the keeper.
It would be typical of England, it would guarantee his place for the next 10 testsAnd 1 guest wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 2:10 pm It would be ironic if Buttler plays a match winning innings after all the criticism.
Gotta go some to make up for all the runs Shan Masood made after Buttler kept dropping him.And 1 guest wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 2:10 pm It would be ironic if Buttler plays a match winning innings after all the criticism.
It's been good all the way through and has set up a brilliant final session.
