Sorry, I know it's cliché to crap on about the death of test cricket after an ashes defeat

Temba Bavuma says SA still in with a chance in first Test against India

“We need to play with the same kind of intensity we showed (Tuesday) morning,” said the Proteas’s vice captain. “What’s happened has happened, the first session on Wednesday will be super key.”

Bitter sweet moment for Kohli. IIRC he was the one who made sure Jansen got an IPL contract.

Yup. Pitch has got much, much harder to play on since then. I doubt we'll score 180 in our 2nd innings.

We bowled kak on that first day and we're very unlucky.

Much better bowling effort on the last two days.

Batters must join the party now.

According to cricinfo is this the last session
Welcome back to the last session of the day's play. Might this be the last session of the Test, though? You never can tell.

Ball getting softer and the pitch is slowing up a bit. Should last until 5pm at least today

The out-of-form dross is out. Only in-form middle order and tail to come.

Proteas by 2 wickets

A chance of afternoon thunderstorms according to Accuweather. I'm not sure it'll last that long though. Bumrah has been lethal so far and once Elgar goes I fear the rest will tumble quickly.

As long as they show fight like Elgar and Rassie did yesterday. QdK the secret.

No Bavuma and Elgar are the keys to surviving. They have the technique to bat for long periods in these conditions.

Reminds me of this dude Bruce Reid. He would have been a legend had it not been for all the injuries he suffered. Hope Marco Jansen doesn't go the same route. Jansen is 3 cm taller than Reid who was 2.03m. Curtley Ambrose is 2.01m. Mohammad Irfan of Pakistan is 2.16m or 7'1" .

Yes, bowling is a very unnatural thing for the body. I'd be seriously impressed if he can manage to stay away from back injuries.

Ngam and Schultz, just 2 bowlers that could have had amazing careers for the Proteas.

Just no desire shown by De Kock to apply himself, was looking like getting out from ball 1

Our batting lineup is like England's without Joe Root.
