He was too busy shouting at Wales 4 who was having no impact on the maul.

Both things can be true. It's not an either/or thing.

Is it too soon to be suggesting Liam Williams is on the way down? Not quite Lee Byrne yet.

HIA for Sexton. If he's holding his head we have to be careful.

Yeah hadn't seen the replay at that point.

He's not going for the ball and it is a shoulder. Definite yellow.

Doesn’t necessarily mean there was any contact.

If you are trying to hold up a player and end round the neck how does that work with high tackles?

Having to have a hia would discourage play acting.

Brainless by Adams. But the way Sexton milks it deserves a joint yellow.

Not too soon in the slightest. He's been off his best for ages, he keeps picking up injuries and then being rushed back for international duty and it's doing him no favours.

If you are Ireland, it's an admired choke tackle. If it's anyone else, it's a pen against for too high. We clear now? :eh:

If Wales get a converted try and Ireland a penalty I am spot on prediction so far.

It is noticeable how frequently they end up manipulating a played by his head/neck which is why I asked. Peyper will start giving Wales penalties now.

Set move from the maul by Wales, so obvious and such a slow execution, even an amateur side would read it....

The reason they do it is to prevent the ball carrier trying to drop his knee (which, BTW, pisses me off: you should not be rewarded there for trying to go off your feet) but it's totally illegal.

Peyper handed the Ireland reffing baton from Owens I see.
