For the life of me I don't understand why Lowe shaves the parts of his head he does while letting the rest grow super long.
Desperately want Toulouse to get some time on the ball and put Leinster under stress

Sexton not doing badly for a guy who's getting a bus pass at the end of the season

Jelonch
It's a measure of how much a mismatch this is viewed as in that the FR picks are 96% for Leinster by 10+. The sort of margin you'd see for Eng v Ita.

Yup. You will see that at 40 breakdowns a game.
Anyway, knew this would be a bumming hence wasn't bothered about getting back in time to see it. One of those games where if I'd been offered a free ticket and it was down the road, I would have passed!

No sign of La Soule or Frog to comment on Leinster's ruck speed? Commentary calling it "ridiculous" with average being under a second. Where are Jelonch, Cros and Elstadt in slowing this down? Bearing in mind that Baille, Marchand and Dupont are among the best, non back rowers at turnovers in world rugby.

Should the trip in of Ntamack been a penalty and maybe yellow?

Nah, it was just a minor collision when you looked at it real time, & there was no changing of line, or strideMarylandolorian wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 3:13 pm Should the trip in of Ntamack been a penalty and maybe yellow?

Warburton's right that it shouldn't be playing the 9, but that's absolutely a penalty for coming in at the side.

Now you see why Dupont is under so much pressure. He is sandwiched between a backrow which provides no protection and a FH who provides zero attacking threat and no tactical kicking to relieve pressure. Frankly, I would not give much of a sh*t except most of that ineffective contingent are currently dead cert starters for France.

Toulouse have given up "contesting" the breakdown in favour of keeping defenders wide but
a) It just speeds up Leinster ball
b) Errr...... when you are 2 scores down with f**k all on the clock, ceding loads of easy possession to the opposition is not an option

Absolute arse reaming.
WTF was Ntamack doing jogging back for that kick through?

The mauled try was good, they did well to keep the ball carrier on the park, but apart from that they didn't offer much at all, the first try was an interception in all but name, a lucky run-in.

Yep, the 2022 EC winnerssockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 3:56 pmNo, they're not Worcester, but they're not good. Lots of very good players in variable form and looking like they're barely coached.
Leinster are very good.

Leinster are largely the Irish national team. Trouble is Toulouse is too much of the French national team: a thing I have a real problem with because in France, pull on a red shirt and you are automatically guaranteed a cap. I hope that Galthie and co watched this and it starts to dawn upon them that some of these players should not be in the French set up.
IN
Dupont, Baille, Marchand, Mauvaka and I'd even consider Ramos in some circumstances as a utility cover.
OUT
Ntamack, Tauzin, Jelonch, Cros (unless you have enough cover around him to do some breakdown work i.e. you set out with someone just for a high tackle rate.. although you already have Woki and Le Roux for than and both can play lock too).
