Great spirit by the bottom two sides in their struggle for survival.

Watched the first half of Toulouse Bordeaux. It was scrappy but Dupont made the difference again. I found Marchand rusty, especially at lineout time.

Pretty much was the Dupont show. He really does mask so many other players' limitations, including Ntamack.

Moefana was awful and should not be anywhere near the Fre selection now.

Dupont made such a difference last night, maybe his best T14 game this season
19 ballons portés, 146 mètres parcourus avec le ballon, 14 défenseurs battus , 3 défenseurs battus(.) 16 coups de pied ….and all of these against a good defense.

Moefana looks like he’s on “economy” mode, I don’t know what’s wrong with him.

Afraid so. Another talented player who seems to be made of glass. However, it's not something to celebrate because FH is now Fra's weakest position.

Sometimes, you are like Bimbo. Obsessed with one vision of the world.

Leaving your pet boy Ntamack aside... have you seen how well Hastoy is doing lately? Hell, we could even call back Lopez! Ramos is a very good fly-half too.

Now you are dreaming if you think an untested Hastoy or a proven failed at intl level Lopez can do a RWC job at such short notice. Dupont is a better FH than Ramos.

It is depressing to be an ASM fan...

How many times this year did we blow away a comfortable lead?

Apparently the Lyon players have been asking for Garbajosa 's head.

What a contrats with Perpignan players who saved Arletaz this season.

What do you make of Hastoy, Torque? Still worried he hasn't been bloodied at international level?

Serin, for Toulon, was in fine form but he seems to have suffered a serious injury.

Hastoy was near perfect. I have said before, one thing I like about him is he always plays with a smile. A player who does that is never going to fold due to pressure. He might make errors but you know it won't affect him.

It's interesting too because TKB is not the ideal SH for him. TKB's service is quite slow but he is like another backrower. That''s why LaR as less effective without Danty. It's the same reason as Fra except at LaR it's TKB who slows the service whereas with Fra it's Ntamack (actually not slowing it but not providing it at all).

I was out to dinner with a former LaR player in the week and he said it looked like West was coming back there

We should wait to see if there is substance to this: especially given my dislike of this player and his past.

He has been jailed awaiting judgment. Not looking good for him. This boy can't keep his nerve. He has shown this on the pitch and in civil life. Sad.

And Clermont will find themselves without depth at 3.

So Haouas guilty and most likely without a contract as Clermont announced he would not wear their jersey... What a waste...

The bloke is really adding them up. Burnt his future with French team and then this.

I am fairly sure a D2 club will pick him up though.

He may be given a last chance. The judge may decide he doesn't go to jail, and does community hours instead.

It is sad though.

1 year is usually an ankle bracelet.
We had a player in our team with one, he had to negotiate with the judge for some away fixtures. as you need to be "home" at specific time.
We also have Gendarmes in the team

Could he play with the bracelet? Could be dangerous.

In any case, he is going to take a big cut in salary at best.

He played fine not really an issue as far as I know.

Watching Stade Francais - Racing on and off. I find none of the two teams very convincing and champions material.

The lack of a solid scrum is crippling Racing.

Will Grenoble get back to Top 14? They are doing most of the rugby for this first 20mim but drop the ball too often to make their domination count...

Maybe, but miles out and no real danger. Don’t think we should be throwing out yellow cards for instinctive things like that miles out. But…. Maybe

On another note:

1) this is just amazing, the French do club rugby like no one else
2) can you think of a better job than a British commentator on the Top 14

The Top 14 has great atmospheres at the games, even when the rugby on show isn't that entertaining.

I actually don't like this commentator, he spends a lot of time taking the piss and laughing. Johnnie Beattie is good, though.

Racing are making so many mistakes right across the board and it's not necessarily from ST pressure
