Waiting for my flight, night in a shitty hostel in Nice then early train to Marseille tomorrow. Can't tell you how annoyed I am that RWC are selling a load of extra tickets while lots of us need to get rid of ours because work doesn't allow for the travel time!
Waiting for the eurostar now for my sins.
Don't think I've ever been less excited about a rugby trip.
Also didn't help that when we contacted our Airbnb host yesterday to arrange access, we found out that they'd recently sold the apartment ffs.

What the fuck is this? Bayfield is on the pitch interviewing Ibitoye as he walks back to the halfway line having scored a try.
Why are coverage innovations always so stupid?

I suspect it's some moron at TNT trying to put their stamp on things.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 7:13 pmThis is the revolution in English rugby promised by the RFU?sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 6:52 pm What the fuck is this? Throw in DJs and spidercams and the game is becoming tiresome to try and watch.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 7:27 pmI suspect it's some moron at TNT trying to put their stamp on things.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 7:13 pmThis is the revolution in English rugby promised by the RFU?sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 6:52 pm What the fuck is this? And that miss pass that caused the really quite tall Bassett to jump for it thereby killing whatever momentum remained in a faltering attack.

Not getting the BP seems like a bit of a missed opportunity for Bris.
Well it's moved to Discovery+ and I couldn't log in even though I'm signed up
I still think that either Dan Kelly or Seb Atkinson at Gloucester are the future for England at 12, but there was nothing in that performance to back up that opinion.
Kelly threw a nice long pass to the wing, but yes, I was having the same thoughts. Very suspicious of players being anointed as the coming man without yet having seen anything to suggest he's that good (George Martin is another one for me).Stranger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 8:29 amI still think that either Dan Kelly or Seb Atkinson at Gloucester are the future for England at 12, but there was nothing in that performance to back up that opinion.
Seb Atkinson I've already seen put in some cracking performances, think he's going to have a huge season.

Barbeary starting for Bath, Russell on bench.
The thing with Kelly was that he was obviously a better centre than Porter. Kelly was injured for a lot of last season and needs to stay fit to build some form.Stranger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 8:29 amI still think that either Dan Kelly or Seb Atkinson at Gloucester are the future for England at 12, but there was nothing in that performance to back up that opinion.

Freeman already serving up reminders of what England are missing.

I reckon we can drag them down to our level for a spell and keep at a 30 margin.
A French or Aussie ref and it could go either way.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:29 pm I reckon we can drag them down to our level for a spell and keep at a 30 margin.
Rugby players of South Africa by lots. England's only chance is if you are kicked out for not signing up to WADA.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:31 pmA French or Aussie ref and it could go either way.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:29 pm I reckon we can drag them down to our level for a spell and keep at a 30 margin.

Would be genuinely hilarious if we made it through, but boy are we second best on paper. Especially in the front row.
To win something absurd will need to happen or we'll have to drag them into a really messy game.
As an aside, I'd appreciate it if Borthwick would give Arundell a run, given that none of his test match animal veteran wings have managed a try in the tournament so far.

The only chance we have is if at least 10 of their best forwards break limbs in a freak rollercoaster accident on their day off tomorrow.

Being brutally honest, I don't think that would be enough to be honest. That's a pack and a pair extra. They'd still have a good enough pack to push us hard and backs to beat us.

Arundell had a set too with Lord Farrell in training, that’s his race run…..Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:40 pm Would be genuinely hilarious if we made it through, but boy are we second best on paper. Especially in the front row.
