Another magnificent Karl Dickson decision costs Saints a try.

JP Doyle was cut for this muppet.

Saracens getting penalised or marched 10 for screaming at the officials is becoming too common an occurence. Need to do more to stamp it out.

Carley kills a move, gives the ball to Quins. Nice one

Not sure it’ll stand, but if it does that’s a superb try

Dickson at his arrogant worse yesterday
Saints were as bad against Tigers as they were good against Chiefs last week
Marvellous last try of the match though

The squad is run through with self entitled twats who don’t believe any decision should go against them.

Yep looking very good
Enjoyable match so far given the weather
Shows what a difference mindset can have. Both teams want to play.
Lawrence is a fantastic player and should be an automatic starter for England. It also helps having Russell at 10 (and Redpath at 12) who will be putting him into space and giving him chances as they draws defenses and create space. Lawrence will only get better and is showing how good he is in a team structured around attack and with a ball playing 10.

Sad to say, but I'm not surprised it happen there.

They've developed a victim mentality about the whole, "Chiefs" bullshit, & the chants still happen, & no-one at the club is doing anything about it as far as I can see.

It's a shame, because I really used to admire what they'd achieved in building a club, & a loyal set of supporters in somewhere that wasn't your traditional rugby heartland, & done so in what looked like a sustainable fashion.

The club need to do way more than thoughts & prays about this.

I was just about to say basically all of this. Especially the point about, if it was going to happen anywhere, it was going to be there.

Some of their supporters' behaviour when they've come up to Glasgow has been appalling.

Any actual proof as to which teams supporters came out with it?

You are going off on one with zero evidence.

Maybe I'm leaping to conclusions too quickly, but my first reading of the article on the Beeb has an emphasis on the Exeter side, with Glaws promising to cooperate fully with any investigation.

I assume Monye is clear on who the abuser was supporting, but I suppose this is now first & foremost a Police investigation, so we may have to wait awhile to get full details.

Ben Earls out for 3 to 4 months with a knee injury.
With Mercer out until the New Year as well it leaves a vacancy at No8 up for grabs in the England 6N training squad squad

Real shame after some very tidy performances for England.

I've lost track, given I thought we'd never get past Billy, who is waiting in wings? I still think Dombrandt has a lot to offer, but probably would depend on how the team set up to get the most out of his skillset. Does Pearson play at 8? Looked a pretty rambunctious (screw you all, I love that word) ball carrier every time I've seen him. Not seen very much of Barbeary at Bath.

Shame Mercer's injured, felt like this might have been his time.

Probably next best option along with Dombrandt
Mercer's replacement at Glaws, Clemence looks a good young prospect as well.
Barbeary still looks like another injury to happen and needs a good run of games

Yep. Took a shot to his problematic knee against Gloucester, don't think trying to run that off was a very good idea. Although he was fit enough for a half against Bristol.

Forgot about Willis, getting mixed up with his brother over in France. Not caught much of Sarries this season aside from the first half against Quins where he was on the bench. Will see if I can find a few highlights - I vaguely recall he bagged a couple against Gloucester.

Pearson hasn't played 8 for Saints, not sure if he ever did for Irish. Really don't need Borthwick messing him around and shoehorning him into a position that's not his best, a la Earl.

Have to say, whoever it was, I'm very surprised this would happen at a rugby game, and more than a bit disappointed no one chinned the person. Maybe that's a bit naïve

Yes, think he was the stand out England WC player and won't be too disappointed if he's not back in time for Murrayfield, had already been worrying about him.

Apparently the Monye thing wasn't a Glaws or Exeter supportor, supposedly been identified as a Saffa on holiday (I believe).

Looks like the running repairs during the RWC are starting to bite, I would expect a few more to go down with either wear and tear injuries or clean up operations for stuff that was being managed to keep the squad going through the tournament.

No doubt Saffa rugby Twitter is already alight with claims he was actually speaking Afrikaans and trying to alert Monye to the existence of a particularly dangerous hornet

With Jack Willis no longer eligible (I think) or fit (probably), and both Curry and Earl out, Pearson for 7 for the tournament?

Will Evans at 7 maybe? Borthwick always picked Tommy Reffell who's a similar player.

I can only assume underhill must have knocked over your pint at some point.

Also need to fill a big Courtney sized hole at 6.

All change in the back row.

George Martin or Chessum to 6, then 2 from Pearson, Underhill, T Willis and Ludlam.

Good job we've got some depth in the Backrow because they're dropping like flies.

I just assume Underhill will be crocked by then...

Wouldn't have a problem with him being picked if his form is good, and his fitness holds.

Evans is too one dimensional for international rugby and would also probably break the first time a trio of 20 stone Frenchmen target him at the ruck

Ted Hill, your time is now. Or is he broken too? He didn't play for Bath on Friday.

We definitely need to do something about non-EQPs now that we're down to 10 teams.

As far as I can tell, of the 30 players who started in the back row this weekend just gone at least 12 aren't EQP and three more aren't regular back row players (eg. Thacker playing 7 for Bristol). Crucially, 50% of the 6s were non-EQP.

Martin's broken and I don't think we're well stocked enough in the second row to be moving Chessum to 6 at the moment.

So from the world cup squad
T. Curry (broken)
Earl (broken)
Lawes (retired)
Ludlam
Underhill
B. Vunipola
J. Willis (unavailable)

Possibles:
Barbeary (will he stay fit)
Chick (meh)
Coles (played 6 for Saints, more of a lock?)
Cunningham-South (might be a bit early)
B. Curry (not looked to hot for England so far...)
Dombrandt (see above)
Hill (broken?)
Pearson
Reid (can he step up?)
T. Willis
