Well yes, much more efficient for warming up a pie and things like that but reviews of the models I looked at weren't all that positive. Get a gas BBQ with rotisserie, use mine 4 or 5 times a week..
Same goes with my fridge/freezer which is 20+ years old now and probably less energy efficient than new ones, but build quality just isn't the same as it used to be
