love was in the air, best team won. I can’t believe Dulin was MoM, for me it was Ryan Baird.

Quins - Racing is a ding dong affair. Possibly the most entertaining game I've seen so far this weekend.

Quins look like they will take this.
Really enjoyable game. Feel like the fast pitch and playing indoors helps Quins more than Racing.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 6:57 pm Quins - Racing is a ding dong affair. Possibly the most entertaining game I've seen so far this weekend.

BP win away in France is typically a tough get. Well played, Quins.
While the loss is far from ideal for Racing, getting two points from a defeat is still valuable.

It's incredible how Racing always manages to be significantly less than the sum of the parts.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:29 pm BP win away in France is typically a tough get. Well played, Quins.

Good week for the Premiership. 8 wins from 10 games, the only losses coming from Saracens and Newcastle.

Edinburgh seem OK if not outstanding.
I do sometimes feel Glasgow supporters, or at least those on the Warriors chatroom, talk themselves into a state of depression. There seems to be no middle ground, either everything is wonderful, or the sky is falling in and there is no possible hope.

Back in the 00s or maybe up to as recently as 2014-ish, you wouldn't have a hope of getting an Ulster European home game ticket unless bought a few weeks in advance. Racing coming to town this weekend, and after our utter shite season to-date, I'd be amazed if it was 70% full.
There is obviously a correlation between how well a team plays and attendance figures. But for me to take my 3 daughters (wife wouldn't be arsed going), a coke and chip for the girls each, and a pint for me, I'd have no change out of £150 I reckon, to watch Ulster play poorly. Don't know if other rugby clubs are the same but Ulster's commercial team have taken the piss outnof supporters for quite some time now, and now that the end product is gash, they have backed themselves into a corner.
I can take them to watch an Irish League footy match (shite standard, but very entertaining, and a much easier sport for a kid to understand) and pay £13 in, kids go for free, a pint for me at HT, chips and hot chocolates for the girls, and spend probably £30-35. A no brainer for me and the kids.
Ian Madigan for Ireland.
Doesn't that just make them archetypal Scottish supporters?weegie01 wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:15 pm I do sometimes feel Glasgow supporters, or at least those on the Warriors chatroom, talk themselves into a state of depression. Disappointing with the Bulls attendance. Expect those figures for Durban. The Stormers supporters were excellent yesterday in Leicester and that with a weaken Stormers team.
Will be interesting to see Cape Town this weekend. First 15 rugby game since they upgrade the surface plus Rochelle will probably draw attention as champions with a few x Stormer players.

Might do well to research this whole 'defence' thing.fishfoodie wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:33 pmIt's incredible how Racing always manages to be significantly less than the sum of the parts.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:29 pm BP win away in France is typically a tough get. Decent Quins attack but the tries are poor folding, missed tackles, three lads buying the dummy and nonexistent maul respectively. Presume rookie Szarzewski in charge?

Well Nienaber will make a massive difference to Leinster defense, no doubt about that. Everywhere he was defense coach he turned it around real quick.
Handre Pollard on the Stormers clash.

Sounds just like your typical Irish supporter to me! We're either top of the world or everyone must be dropped/sacked immediately!Lobby wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:47 pmDoesn't that just make them archetypal Scottish supporters?weegie01 wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:15 pm I do sometimes feel Glasgow supporters, or at least those on the Warriors chatroom, talk themselves into a state of depression. The big clash is Sunday when the Cheetahs host the Springbok laden Sharks. Cheetahs maybe tired after travelling by bus from the NH to Bloemfontein.

At Edinburgh it'd be thirty quid for you, tenner each for the kids if they're u16. A pint is £5.50 and the chips and coke would be probably no more than fifteen between them. So about half the price of Ulster.Jim Lahey wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:34 pmSad to hear.weegie01 wrote: Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:15 pmGlasgow attendances have been disappointing of late. Bizarrely, Murrayfield is now a cheaper place to get a pint than most pubs in Central Edinburgh
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
