Not Heineken Cup 23/24
Yeah, and Gonzalez.
Since Itoje scored his second, the ref has given some seriously marginal calls in Saracens favour. Getting quite silly now.
Farrell manages to get his kick to touch from 10m charged down. Ref gives Saracens another bullshit penalty from nowhere anyway.

I'm smelling the scent of far-east betting syndicates, its almost delberate now
We just need a chargedown on a conversion and we've completed the set.

Nah. They were on a warning and he killed the ball. Clear cut call for me

They were on a warning.
Sarries have definitely woken up a bit over the last 15 despite Farrell's efforts to sabotage.

The way the game is refereed is that conceding a try is enough, teams usually escape a card in that case. The card is given if a try is denied
Usually.
edit, except for penalty tries, obviously

Nah. See plenty of cases where a try and a yellow are given. It's hardly unique. It was cynical play tooTichtheid wrote: Sat Jan 20, 2024 9:37 pmMargin__Walker wrote: Sat Jan 20, 2024 9:35 pmNah. They were on a warning and he killed the ball. Clear cut call for me

Huge hit by Daly. Eventually possession to Saracens and another powerful run by Segun leads to a try. Aside from the penalties (fair or otherwise) it's been Lyon's lack of bite in defence that has been their downfall in this half. Like they were satisfied with their first half work and didn't fancy it in the second.

I genuinely haven't seen "plenty" of those, not when the try is scored.

He's clearly and cynically killed the ball in the red zone when his team are on a warning. If you don't give yellows for them, I'm not sure what you give them for. A try being scored doesn't erase itTichtheid wrote: Sat Jan 20, 2024 9:44 pm

Thanks to Sarries the Bulls will get a home game next joining the Stormers. Both teams need some work.

I agree with you, I'm only saying that I haven't seen them given that way very often.
In fact I'm usually left wondering why someone hasn't been carded, even after a try has been scored.

Must say that sat in the ground freezing my bollocks off, watching Faz get charged down twice in 5 seconds, thinking we’ve crashed out, my first thought quite genuinely was ‘I bet the bored are pissing themselves laughing’.
Entertaining game, hopefully that second half builds a bit of confidence. Must say at half time I expected us to get pasted

Right in the family jewels
I was once on a golf course with a mate, he'd lost his ball and we waved the following pair through - the first tee shot caught my mate similarly off guard and he folded like a clapper board
possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen, painful funny

Oof. Enough Sale players got back to Leyds that you'd think he was covered.

They bought the dummies to a ridiculous degree. Harsh on Sale to have a swing like that, clown car refereeing a minute beforesockwithaticket wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2024 1:16 pm Oof. Enough Sale players got back to Leyds that you'd think he was covered.
