His ears must have been burning. 😂
He must be pissed off, he has made so many errors! But as long as he's fit you keep him on the pitch, I reckon.

Really interesting to see how this shakes out, the game has become quite loose and Spain are very dangerous

England have so much talent with the likes of saka, Bellingham, Palmer, foden. A moments team that really has got here on individual talent more than anything else.

Gotta say Spain look so composed. We needed them to have more of an off day to sneak a win

Gah

Can't begrudge Spain the title, they've been tidy all through the tournament, but just feels like we've not thrown the punches we could have done.

Ah well, well done Spain. No complaints about that, best side in the tournament vs a scrappy team carrying a few underperformers. Sadly, Southgate's loyalty went too far and meant we essentially conceded any chance of properly threatening Spain in the first half with that starting team, and had to make the team really unbalanced in the search for an equaliser.

If you keep having to go to the well to get past opponents, eventually the well will be dry and the opposition too good. Close game, wasn't the blowout that England's detractors were praying for, but the right result.

I thought it was far from his worst game but yes, he is there for his pace. He had some shockers earlier in the tournament.

Indeed. One thing I do want to see next season is rodri punished with cards for every bit of cynical shitty play he does cause the guy is an absolute piece of shit.

The best team won, and football won.

Southgate never learned from the previous lucky wins, kept doing the same thing.

Well done Spain.

To be honest, any team would do the same to kill time, but I have a real pathological dislike of Cucarella and that ridiculous barnet.

We should have run at him more, he's simply not a good player - how the feck Chelsea spunked £60M I'll never know.

He had a great tournament to be fair - Cucurella that is.

Southgate just doesn't change his starting XI nor take risks with his subs, you can't keep winning when you aren't prepared to switch things up.

England's goal showed what they could do. The rest of the game showed why they didn't deserve to win.

That is true. I'm deeply cynical about Spanish football losing drugs tests, Barcelona gifts to refs etc.... the whole dark cloud of shit relating to guardiola and man city.

The crushing shame for English football of consistently getting to semi finals and finals after years of humiliations. Oh no.

Cucarella is miliary medium. He's not a good player, although in a good team.

We had a good blend with Maguire, Stones and Walker, as Maguire could do the whole skilful bit and Walker could do McGuire's running for him.

Not too worried about that to be honest, Guehi did a great job, and if James and Chilwell can stay fit we have some excellent options on the flanks now

Guehi looked to the manor born, good reading, athletic, composed. Still think we missed Maguire as a composed passer.

We go back to the obvious not Trent option being the unavailable White at rightback. Stones is a very skillful player. Southgate's loyalty is commendable but kane hasn't been fit all tournament.

If White is not available he's not an option, sad as it is. Maguire and Stones were two excellent options to bring the ball out of defence, for all of Guehi's clear qualities he's not an equivalent in that regard, so we're left with Walker trying to do it.

Kane is an outstanding footballer but not much use if he can barely break into a trot.
