Plenty of talent in there but a very tough group.
Just have to win one game
Sounds like they don't even have to win one game now - rumour is relegation is off the table as the WR U20 Championship will expand to 16 teams next year. Probably with the second tier Trophy comp ditched in favour of some 'cross-regional' competition.

If the pressure is off I would really like to see this group just give it an absolute crack and show what they are capable of.
They had certainly stepped it up several levels by the end of the 6 Nations and were superb against France, and the second half of the warm up game got them back into that groove, so really hope they give it a lash.

Taken from the Glasgow message board, the pack is very big for a Scotland u20s side. It’s pretty big for a Scotland side at any level:

Shearer- 6' 1" 110kg
Roberts - 6' 2" 105kg
OBL - 6' 3" 136kg
Halkon - 6' 7" 120kg
Godsell - 6' 6" 115kg
Moss - 6' 7" 114kg
Duncan - 6' 3" 108kg
Logan - 6' 5" 121kg

Pack weight of 929kg.

Size isn’t everything, but it’s definitely harder when you don’t have it.

The weights and heights are always to be taken with a pinch of salt, but I make that 929kg. (edit. oops, I didn't read the total - soz for the repetition)

Scotland's pack in the Calcutta Cup game this year tipped the scales at 917kg.

Good set of backs too. Cowan is excellent, and Urwin controls well (just hope he’s got his Billy’s Boots on), centres very solid, could do with some more out and out gas in the back three, but all of them are good finishers. Tough opener, but England rely on their pack so hope the boys get stuck in.

It's heavier than any pack named for the full Scotland team during the Townsend era. Weights taken from the SRU website. High of 928kg, low of 870kg, average of 901kg.

Ramos is their starter at 15 with Ntamack at 10. Kinghorn has mostly played on the wing for them. Kinghorn played a lot at 15 when Ntamack was injured and Ramos moved forward.

Clearly I wasn’t paying enough attention. Or I was only paying attention when Ramos was injured. Slightly dispiriting really - I thought he had had an amazing season, but it turns out he’s second choice for his club in the position where we use him. Even if the club is Toulouse.

I think maybe you have taken that a bit literally to be honest - not a criticism, just not sure how to articulate it properly- from what I’ve seen, 10, 15 and his wing are very interchangeable and I’m not sure there is a set hierarchy. Also, being 2nd to Ramos is no disgrace

It is more about getting their best players on the park - Kinghorn can play wing but Ramos can't, he doesn't have the pace of Kinghorn. With Ntmack at 10 there is no way Ramos will play there so FB is the best way to fit him in the team they want Ramos on the pitch for his place kicking particularly in knock out rugby when 3 points could be key. As said earlier the way Toulouse play the back 3 positions is pretty interchangeable anyway so I wouldn't read too much into whether he plays wing or FB.

It will be interesting to see how Kinghorm does defensively against Penaud?

I think it’s more credit to England. Our pack was doing very well, and Cowan and Urwin were getting us in good positions, but it looked like England worked out pretty quickly that they had more pace and width and switched to Plan B and just kept overstretching the defence. Once the centres and back three got hot and knckered chasing ghosts, that was that.
