Ordinarily I would but.........................................
Selfish SARU destroy the Rugby Championship
Aus and NZ are sh1tting bricks with SA out of the loop. They know they need us plus they are still but hurt about us coming from absolutely nowhere to smash it in the RWC.
They are however our SH brothers so I feel for them and wish them all of the best.

Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
Considering the quality of the teams this weekend its no wonder they cancelled the RC....we would get smashed as we wouldn't be able to buy the refs.....
A combines team from the Bulls and Stormers would have done ok I think, it's sad that the saarks players came into our SR cold and not match ready.

just for reference...my wife is happier than she has ever been...I gave her , her dream. A purpose...a passion...and unconditional support when she turned to me and said she did not feel the passion for Steel-line anymore...
Not many men around that can say that...most would insist their women remained unhappy for the security.
So when I read posts like that I can only think what a twat......

These kiwis are just trolling us. There is no way that they really expect some people to go to a strange country for weeks on end, away from their family and friends, merely to give them a couple of hours entertainment.
They are fine, intelligent people with a lot of empathy. They are just funning with us.

Thank goodness. I was worried they had lost all sense of decency and only cared about money.Fangle wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 1:46 pm These kiwis are just trolling us. I just have varying degrees of tolerance.
I am glad someone cares about money. Elite sportsmen are not cheap to maintain without an income. There is no point paying massive salaries if it is going to bankrupt your organization. Ultimately they need to create an income stream or they will be sitting at home like the millions of normal people who have lost their jobs or are on a reduced income. And then there's administration and property management and directors, managers and staff.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 2:29 pmThank goodness. I am still of the opinion that the only way to get over Covid is herd immunity which means that you take your chances and as much precautions as possible if you're vulnerable. But the people need to go back to work. How many companies will survive a second lockdown. Employees seem to think there is an endless stream of money and no overheads to pay every month. Most companies I know are already heavily indebted to banks after the first lockdown. Thank vok I didn't fall for that and struggled through without a salary instead. If a second lockdown occurs there is no way those companies will be able to service loans already incurred which most are struggling to pay anyway. And assets are going to be completely refinanced in overdrafts etc. To thr hilt. It's a really tough time for everyone. But you cannot give up. If I die...so be it. At least I have made sure my family is looked after. And risked everything to do so.

Firstly, that always related to Super Rugby only, which has always been a loss maker. Secondly, there is a big difference between not being needed, and pulling out a week before the comp was meant to start for dishonest reasons.
You have, ad nauseum, in living memory trolled South Africa on AIDS, now we have experienced another pandemic and to your trolling mind cannot fathom the damage to South Africans. Look like we are on our way back to locked down. Will be a disaster but that's the price we pay if people don't listen.

Stormers coach John Dobson says they’re worried about the increase in Covid-19 cases among South African teams.
The Super Rugby “Unlocked” match between the Lions and Cheetahs, scheduled for Ellis Park on Saturday, was called off in line with Covid-19 protocols after two more Lions players (which brought the total to 11 in the squad) tested positive.
“We are very worried,” he said. “We had a strict and strong talk with the players today about their lives outside the high-performance centre.
“We can control what happens here, but can’t really control what happens outside. So we said among ourselves that we are on a level four (lockdown). It is home, shop and no socialising.
“Unfortunately, the Cheetahs – they may reschedule the game – may have lost two points by factors outside their control. The Lions, through Covid, may have potentially lost a home win. We want to do our best to avoid us being in that same position.
“It is a threat to this tournament that some big game is going to come down to a Covid situation. We have got to control it as best we can. The authorities are handling it really, really well. But it is clear now that this could impact on the integrity of the competition.”

They can't afford another lockdown. It will be the end of this country. There's no money left for bail outs, no TERS, no UIF, no nufink and they are billions of dollars in debt already. Another lockdown and you'll see big companies close their doors permanently. Companies you never would have thought would, will go bankrupt.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 11:35 am Look like we are on our way back to locked down. Indeed. Edcon was probably the biggest casualty of the last lockdown. I doubt we will go into full on Level 5 lockdown again, but wouldn't be surprised if Level 2 or 3 is put on the cards and booze gets restricted again.
"As die mense nie wil hoor nie, moet hulle voel"...a lot of people are getting very complacent again.
