And for those whose team is not playing
Last time these two teams met at Loftus, the Bulls moered the saarkies 41-14. Let's hope the saarkies can front up this time, at least put up a fight.

See my post above. Penalty only. Would have been an easy 3 points for the Sharks.

Just asking for the laws of the game to be applied fairly and consistently.
Vokol penalty
Rugby players regularly and with impunity tackle opponents who are running, i.e. have their feet off the ground. ... Law 10.4 (i) Tackling the jumper in the air. A player must not tackle nor tap, push or pull the foot or feet of an opponent jumping for the ball in a line-out or in open play

Thanks Oom, glad you did some research and have reinforced by position on the illegality of the tackle.

Thankfully Nohamba wasn't hurt, which is the main thing.

It's easy to look past these seemingly small things when a team wins a semi-final even though they were underdogs playing away from home. But justice delayed is justice denied.

Check what I mean....cocky old shit hasn't registered yet that ..........WE ARE THE TITLE HOLDERS OF BEING THE LAST VICTORS AT NEWLANDS

That stigma is going to haunt WP forever...and ouboet never saw it happen.

We came and owned their stadium, their women and their rugby....took their sponsorship deal too

So much for a final at Newlands....boo hoo

Really trying to move on to the finalists but it just keeps on giving.

So rumors doing thr rounds are that 16 players are unhappy atm at WP....

I don't get it...why now want to run ... the players are part of the problem. They have accepted the boardroom shit by never forcing their opinions. How stupid must Gelant feel. If they had won on Saturday it would be a completely different story.

Why don't they just desert WP and form The Stormers. A professionally and invested union based either in Paar or Stellenbosch

Stopping Duane is going to be a greater challenge than the past weekend. He is looking in very fine form. One of my all time greatest players. He just keeps on giving. And his experience as a captain cannot be overlooked. He won a rwc against a highly favored England leading the boks.
The backline is full of rugby smart players who can open up any team on the day. Cornel is looking hungry. We are going to have to watch him closely.
Rassie must be in his element because on the field will be 2 of the best flyhalfs with the complete kicking game. Bosch will have to tone down his kicking game at altitude whilst Morne will feel very comfortable. Expect a lot of grabbers and cross kicks. Last time Bosch won the duel...Morne will want to rectify that.
Fassi hasn't shown much yet but I am hoping it changes this weekend.
Have some mates coming around so let's hope its a good onr

If we can deal with Duane and Marco, then we've got a chance. We did it before so we can do it again. Our breakdown game against WP was pretty decent, but we'll have to be much sharper against the Bulls.

That said, I suspect we'll see more of the same from the Sharks and they'll prefer to kick it than chance one-off runners.

The Sharks dealt with the Bulls pack quiet effectively last time, so it wouldn't surprise me if they nullified the Bulls pack again.
The Sharks also made a WP pack ,that contained that contained no less than 3 2019 RWC winners, their play things. So I don't expect the Bulls to have any advantage up front .

The kicking rugby is ugly lets make no bones about it....it goes against everything that running rugby fans love....I cant stand it and wish Bosch would run it more which is his natural game in any event......but......its Rassie rugby ......executed perfectly by Bosch...and its winning games.
Just like we can say that WP plays ugly winning rugby where every game is reduced to scrumming...we can say that the Sharks are embracing kicking rugby which is ugly as vok ....but are winning.
Yeah, its a dang sharp double edged sword.
But you know that Morne is going to try show Bosch who is king of the castle on Saturday...loads at stake for him after he failed against Bosch last time...so he will either run it more , or kick the leather off the ball....I think they may just run it at first to test our defense.....

We are going to have to be sharp and watch Cornel and Duane first up or we are going to leak tries early on.
We hold them , Morne will go to the boot and we will be able to field a strong contest....

Lets be honest...without Ginger the WP pack was dead in the water....the Bulls would have slaughtered them , butchered them , hung them to dry and then vokken grilled them over the coals.....

We based our game plan on attacking the loose ball....Marius vokked our game up 10 null when he saw how effective it was , so the boys are going to have to be more accurate as the ref will be watching it...the experience of Duane will make him shine here....but our boys are young and hungry....this is just another outing for Duane. Its going to come down to tactics and execution....two of the best backlines in action here so thats going to be interesting...lets see who's general wakes up on the right side of the bed here.
What I am looking forward to.....seeing our wings in action , feeding off Fassi....nothing more beautiful than our back 3 destroying teams.
What I am not looking forward to.....inaccurate passing , slippery hands and referred tries

I don't think a coach of JW's quality will allow that to happen again so easily. To win I think the Sharks are going to have to vary their game and bring our strike runners into play, but that's not exactly finals rugby.

The tactics are going to be very interesting. MS has shown glimpses of being able to run the ball and vary his game.

Of course he can....that was his natural game....They worked with him this year to perfect the kicking game out of hand...which we have discussed is as ugly as vok......but its working......would love the Sharks to spring a surprise and use our backline on attack...

As a player, Vermeulen has been physical and fearsome as a ball-carrier and on defence, while remaining typically influential at the breakdown. As a leader, he has also embraced the captaincy, and just this past Saturday was credited for the manner in which he inspired his teammates when the pressure came on in the second half of the first Currie Cup semi-final.

‘He was actually operating on another level,’ White commented. ‘And that’s what you want, you want your best players to perform in these crunch games, you want them delivering their best and Duane was one of them,’ he added.
Even if he is in the opposition team you have to love this guy.....

Nothing but respect for DV. I expect nothing less than a MOTM performance from him on Saturday.
