Carley in combination with plenty of rain and some french thuggery in France

Not great for rugby or the health of players.

Fingers crossed there will be some good rugby at some point.

BP win away in France is typically a tough get. Well played, Quins.

While the loss is far from ideal for Racing, getting two points from a defeat is still valuable.

Glasgow attendances have been disappointing of late. Even games where ticket sales are reported as high seem blighted by season ticket holders not turning up.

Edinburgh seem OK if not outstanding.

I do sometimes feel Glasgow supporters, or at least those on the Warriors chatroom, talk themselves into a state of depression. There seems to be no middle ground, either everything is wonderful, or the sky is falling in and there is no possible hope.

Sad to hear.

Back in the 00s or maybe up to as recently as 2014-ish, you wouldn't have a hope of getting an Ulster European home game ticket unless bought a few weeks in advance. Racing coming to town this weekend, and after our utter shite season to-date, I'd be amazed if it was 70% full.

There is obviously a correlation between how well a team plays and attendance figures. But for me to take my 3 daughters (wife wouldn't be arsed going), a coke and chip for the girls each, and a pint for me, I'd have no change out of ยฃ150 I reckon, to watch Ulster play poorly. Don't know if other rugby clubs are the same but Ulster's commercial team have taken the piss outnof supporters for quite some time now, and now that the end product is gash, they have backed themselves into a corner.

I can take them to watch an Irish League footy match (shite standard, but very entertaining, and a much easier sport for a kid to understand) and pay ยฃ13 in, kids go for free, a pint for me at HT, chips and hot chocolates for the girls, and spend probably ยฃ30-35. A no brainer for me and the kids.

Disappointing with the Bulls attendance. Expect those figures for Durban. The Stormers supporters were excellent yesterday in Leicester and that with a weaken Stormers team.

Will be interesting to see Cape Town this weekend. First 15 rugby game since they upgrade the surface plus Rochelle will probably draw attention as champions with a few x Stormer players.

Might do well to research this whole 'defence' thing.

Decent Quins attack but the tries are poor folding, missed tackles, three lads buying the dummy and nonexistent maul respectively. Presume rookie Szarzewski in charge?

Well Nienaber will make a massive difference to Leinster defense, no doubt about that. Everywhere he was defense coach he turned it around real quick.

At Edinburgh it'd be thirty quid for you, tenner each for the kids if they're u16. A pint is ยฃ5.50 and the chips and coke would be probably no more than fifteen between them. So about half the price of Ulster.

Bizarrely, Murrayfield is now a cheaper place to get a pint than most pubs in Central Edinburgh
